Walkthrough

Talk to Yona

Once the Water Temple is done, speak to Yona in Zora’s Domain, close to the Goddess Statue. She explains that the Zora Greaves were offered at the Ancient Zora Waterworks as a prayer for friendship between the Zora and the Hylians, and that the way in is through the reservoir east of the domain.

Enter the Ancient Zora Waterworks

Go to East Reservoir Lake, southeast of Zora’s Domain, and dive into the whirlpool. The waterworks have been drained since your last visit. Work your way to the back of the large main room and drop through the hole in the floor; the chest is at about (3585, 247, -105). Use Brightbloom Seeds to see in the dark.

Deal with the Stone Talus

A Stone Talus waits in the open area below. The fight is optional: you can run past it, behind the waterfall, to the chest. If you fight it, stay out of melee range, run to the opposite side when it launches a hand, then climb onto its back after it burrows and strike the ore node there. Jump off when it starts shaking. It drops a Stone Talus Heart, a strong fusion material. Dodge its charges by staying out of its path.

Open the chest and report back

The chest is on a pedestal in the hidden area behind the one waterfall with something visible behind it. Open it to receive the Zora Greaves, which completes the quest; the quest then points you back to Yona. Return to Zora’s Domain and talk to her to finish it. Wearing the greaves boosts swim speed.
