Walkthrough

Pray at the Spring of Courage

Go to the Spring of Courage in the Faron Grasslands, a pool with two mossy pillars, and pray to the Goddess Statue there. She says she can no longer feel the Mother Goddess Statue in the vast canyon and asks you to look into it.

Check the Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple

The Forgotten Temple lies at the bottom of a deep canyon in Hebra, in north-west Hyrule, around (-1387, 2293). Descend past the ruins and work through the temple rooms, using Ascend where a platform is out of reach; Mayausiy Shrine sits in the second room, a handy fast-travel point for later visits. In the third room the great Mother Goddess Statue lies toppled on its side. Return to the Spring of Courage and report what you saw.

Get Farosh’s Claw

The statue asks for a claw of the golden spirit Farosh. Farosh, the golden electric dragon, emerges from the East Gerudo Chasm (around -2484, -3110), north of Siwakama Shrine, and flies a long fixed route east over the Faron region and Lake Hylia; guides report her appearing about once a day, and many players wait near the chasm or at Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, passing time at a campfire. Wear electricity-resistant gear if you can, because she throws balls of electricity. Launch from a Skyview Tower or a sky island, glide alongside her and shoot one of her feet with an arrow (a Keese Eyeball fused to the arrow helps accuracy). If you hit another part of her body you get a scale instead and must wait about ten minutes before trying again. The claw drops glowing on the ground, so pick it up.

Offer the claw at the spring

Stand before the statue and drop Farosh’s Claw into the water in front of her. The statue is grateful, says that helping the Goddess Statues at the other springs will also help restore the Mother Goddess Statue, and gives you a Topaz. If your pouch is full she holds the Topaz until you return with space.

Rewards

A Topaz. The offering also helps restore the Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple.

Tips

  • Collect Dinraal’s and Naydra’s claws as well and take them to the Springs of Power and Wisdom; with all three claws offered the Mother Goddess Statue can grant the White Sword of the Sky.
  • Free a pouch slot before you offer the claw so the Topaz arrives immediately.
