Walkthrough

Pray at the Spring of Wisdom and check on the Mother Goddess Statue

Head to the Spring of Wisdom on Mount Lanayru, just below the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower, and approach the Goddess Statue standing in the water. She is worried that she can no longer sense the Mother Goddess Statue and asks you to look in on her. Head to the Forgotten Temple in the canyon between Central Hyrule and the Hebra region (the nearest shrine to warp to is Kiuyoyou Shrine, then go west; enter through the hole in the front of the building). Defeat the Bokoblins inside, light up Mayausiy Shrine for fast travel, then examine the great Mother Goddess Statue that lies toppled over. Return to the spring and report. If you have already examined that statue while helping another Goddess Statue, you can skip the trip.

Offer Naydra’s Claw at the spring

Bring the statue a Naydra’s Claw. Naydra, the ice dragon, rises from the Naydra Snowfield Chasm in the Hebra region and flies a fixed loop that carries her around Mount Lanayru and the Lanayru Wetlands; she follows a schedule, so you may have to wait for her. Shoot one of her glowing blue claws with an arrow as she flies past (slow-motion aiming while airborne helps) and pick up the claw that drops. Go back to the Spring of Wisdom and drop the claw into the water beneath the Goddess Statue. Keep a free slot in your pouch, because the statue pays you with a Sapphire and will hold it until you can carry it.

Rewards

You receive a Sapphire. The Goddess Statue also sends a measure of her strength to the Mother Goddess Statue, and helping the Goddess Statues at the other springs restores her further. It does not matter which of the three Goddess Statue quests you do first: after the Goddess Statue of Power (Dinraal’s Claw; Ruby) and the Goddess Statue of Courage (Farosh’s Claw; Topaz) are also done, praying at the restored Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple gives you the White Sword of the Sky.

Tips

  • Mount Lanayru is freezing; wear cold-resistant gear or eat a Spicy dish before you climb.
  • Naydra flies a long, slow loop, so be patient and make sure you have a bow and a stack of arrows ready.
