A caravan traveler named Ponthos went missing near Kara Kara Bazaar. Find the sinkhole southwest of the bazaar’s west entrance, drop in, break the rocks blocking the tunnel and lead him out by the ladder. His orb is your reward.
Walkthrough
Ask Benja about Ponthos
Talk to Benja in Kara Kara Bazaar. The caravan’s Ponthos went out through the west entrance and has not returned. Caravan practice is to wait beside something tall, so he should be near a landmark.
Find the sinkhole west of the bazaar
Leave by the west entrance and head southwest across the dunes. A tall stone pillar stands beside a campfire; the sinkhole is right next to it. Jump in to reach the cave below.
Break through to Ponthos
Ponthos sits in the dark tunnel and sees no way out. Follow the underground stream (the Oasis Source cave) and smash the rocks and boulders that block the passage with Bomb Flowers (on arrows too), bombs, Yunobo’s charge if you have him, or a heavy two-handed blunt weapon until a ladder to the surface appears. Ponthos climbs it ahead of you. Toss a Brightbloom Seed to light your way.
Take Ponthos’ orb
Ponthos rejoins his caravan group at the bazaar. Talk to him and Benja to receive the group’s orb (the Gerudo Heroine Statue Orb). It is very heavy and cannot be stored, so build an Ultrahand cart or rent a sleigh seal to haul it to Gerudo Town. It is one of the seven orbs for The Mysterious Eighth, and someone in Gerudo Town knows more about it.

Tips
- Finish the Kara Kara Bazaar defence first; Benja only mentions Ponthos afterward. Clearing the sand shroud makes the pillar and campfire easier to spot.
