Master the Vehicle Prototype

Fernison’s vehicle prototype is ready but nobody can steer it. Take a Steering Stick, attach it to the vehicle with Ultrahand and drive through every light beam on the course before time runs out. Return to the starting point and Fernison pays you a Silver Rupee.

Walkthrough

Meet Fernison at the site

Find Fernison, with racers Tali and Shabonne, on the Hudson Construction Site platform at the lake south of Tarrey Town. She has a vehicle prototype built from Zonai devices but cannot control it, since none of the devices found around Tarrey Town fit as a steering control. Accept her request to test it.

Attach the Steering Stick and drive the course

Take a Steering Stick from the device dispenser nearby (it takes a Zonai Charge), hold it with Ultrahand and attach it to the vehicle. Climb aboard, hold the stick and drive through each of the glowing light beams that mark the course. The timer starts when you set off: you have about three minutes, and you are disqualified if you let go of the device or leave the course.

Return to the start

After the last light, steer back to the starting point inside the time limit. Fernison congratulates you and hands over a Silver Rupee (some guides list this as 100 rupees) and a Sleepover Ticket, good for one free night at a stable bed, as a down payment on her plans, which lead to The Tarrey Town Race Is On!.

Rewards

• Silver Rupee (100 rupees)
• Sleepover Ticket
• Unlocks The Tarrey Town Race Is On!

Tips

• Stay on the Steering Stick the whole time; releasing it counts as a disqualification, and so does straying far off the course.
• If you do not own a Steering Stick, the device dispenser just south along the coast holds one (it holds several device types, so you may need a few Zonai Charges). It is the same dispenser as in Secrets Within.
• Once finished, rest until the next day and talk to Fernison again to unlock The Tarrey Town Race Is On!.
