Misko’s Treasure of Awakening III

The letter in Coliseum Ruins Cave points to Thundra Plateau on Hyrule Ridge, in Ludfo’s land. At midday, build a tall pole so that the shadow of the southern pillar reaches the northern one, then drop into the pit that opens and take the Mask of Awakening from the chest in Thundra Plateau Cave.

Read the third letter

Read the tablet beside the chest in Coliseum Ruins Cave. It says that on Hyrule Ridge, in Ludfo’s land, ruins sleep beneath the towering mushroom trees. You must connect the southern column’s midday shadow to the northern one, and at the shadow’s center the way to the treasure opens.

Travel to Thundra Plateau

Head to Thundra Plateau on Hyrule Ridge; the cave is southwest of Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. Two tall stone pillars stand on a grassy rise surrounded by giant mushroom trees. Wait until 12:00 noon (the window is roughly 12 to 1), camping by a fire to pass time if needed, so that the pillars cast clear shadows.

Build the shadow pole

Cut four or more mushroom trees for logs and fuse them into one long pole with Ultrahand. Stand it upright in front of the southern pillar, with a cross piece if you need extra reach, so that its shadow stretches until it meets the northern pillar’s shadow.

Open the pit and take the Mask

When the shadows meet, a square pit opens in the grass between the pillars at the shadow’s center. Glide down into Thundra Plateau Cave, bring a Brightbloom Seed for the dark, and open the chest for the Mask of Awakening.

Tips

• With all three pieces you own the full Awakening set, which can be upgraded at Great Fairy Fountains.
• If you lose the Mask, the Bargainer Statues in the Depths sell it again for 400 Poes (stock refreshes at the Blood Moon).
• The puzzle only works around noon, so sleep by a campfire until midday before you start.
