Walkthrough

Read Misko’s letter

Finish Misko’s Cave of Chests in Cephla Lake Cave and the bottled letter appears beside the last chest. It says to don the form of the Fierce Deity and return, and that three keys are needed: one beneath the bedchamber of Akkala’s red-crowned citadel, one in the skull’s left eye and one in an old stump in Hyrule Field.

Get the Fierce Deity Armor

Go to the Akkala Citadel Ruins and find the Summit Cave entrance at (3292, 1492, 394): crawl through the low gap in the ruined walls and drop through the hole in the floor to reach the banner-hung doorway. Open the chest for the Fierce Deity Armor. Watch for a Thunder Gleeok and Gloom Hands near the ruins.

Get the Fierce Deity Mask

The skull’s eye is Skull Lake in Deep Akkala. Enter Skull Lake Cave (3321, 3424, 171), work down to the bottom and climb the central mound to the banner-hung doorway. The chest holds the Fierce Deity Mask. The cavern is guarded by Stalkoblins, a Stalmoblin and a Stalnox, and the shrine-like structure with the chest sits on a central mound.

Get the Fierce Deity Boots

The old stump is the Ancient Tree Stump in Hyrule Field, near (-1111, -432). Drop through the hollow top into the Ancient Tree Stump Cave and climb the roots upward and cut away the vines blocking the passage with a slashing weapon (fire also works), then reach the banner-hung alcove with the chest holding the Fierce Deity Boots.

Wear the set at Cephla Lake Cave

Equip the Mask, Armor and Boots together and walk back to the banner-hung door in Cephla Lake Cave. It opens onto a hidden room with a chest containing the Fierce Deity Sword (attack 38).

Rewards

Fierce Deity Mask, Armor and Boots, and the Fierce Deity Sword (a two-handed sword, attack 38). The full set has a base defense of 3 and each piece grants an Attack Up bonus; the set can be upgraded at a Great Fairy Fountain. The three pieces can be collected in any order.
