Walkthrough

Buy the Twins Manuscript

After Misko’s Cave of Chests, talk to the brothers at their campfire outside Cephla Lake Cave and pay 100 rupees for the Twins Manuscript. It reads: “In West Necluda stand twins poised to duel. Each contains a cavern that faces the other. Show the little twin’s sign to the big twin to open the door to my treasure.” The twins are the Dueling Peaks beside Dueling Peaks Stable.

Photograph the sign in the North Cave

The little twin is the north peak. Climb to Dueling Peaks North Cave, a cave mouth in the cliff at about (1194, -1854, 158) (Popla Foothills Skyview Tower is the usual launch point), and clear the Horriblins inside. At the end of the cave look up at the ceiling for a triangle of coloured chalk circles. Take a camera picture of it so you can compare it later.

Recreate the sign in the South Cave

The big twin is Dueling Peaks South Cave at about (1183, -1947, 245). Deal with the Like Like just inside, then climb the wall to the ledge above, where stones and a triangle of pressure plates sit on the ground. Place a stone (carry it or use Ultrahand) on each plate that matches the circles in your photograph. The gate behind the plates opens and the chest holds Tingle’s Shirt.

Rewards

You earn Tingle’s Shirt, part of the Tingle armour set; it can be bought again later from the Bargainer Statue in the Depths for 400 Poes.

Tips

  • You do not need to buy the manuscript to open the chest, but the quest only starts once you have bought it.
  • Check your photograph against the plates carefully before placing each stone.
