Take a photo of the “full moon” that shines on the floor of Lake Ferona Cave (1929, 1271, 121) in Eldin Canyon at midday, then show it to Tray and Volcon in Goron City. The bright spot only appears when the sun is overhead, so light a fire to pass the time.
Walkthrough
Talk to Tray and Volcon
Find the two elderly Gorons standing outside the inn in Goron City. Choose the “Full moon?” option and they tell you the place they remember is somewhere at Lake Ferona in Eldin Canyon, where the moon shines on the ground in the middle of the day. They will recognise it if you bring a picture.

Cross Lake Ferona to the cave
Lake Ferona lies south of Goron City and west of Foothill Stable. Go to the west side of the lake and look north (northwest of the lake) to find the cave entrance in the rock face, with a round opening in the roof above it. Walk in and climb onto the ledge inside; the light lands on the cave floor opposite that ledge.

Wait for noon
The light only falls through the hole in the roof when the sun is directly overhead. Stand in the cave, drop a pile of wood and light it (flint struck with a metal weapon or a Fire Fruit works) and rest by the fire until the clock reaches midday.

Photograph the light
At noon a bright oval of light appears on the cave floor. Open the camera in the Purah Pad and frame the spot. Take the picture only when the caption “Full moon shining down” appears; if it does not, step back until the whole patch is in frame and retake it.

Show the picture
Return to Goron City and speak to Tray and Volcon again. Link shows them the photo automatically and they recognise the spot from their childhood. They pay you 100 rupees.

Rewards
- 100 rupees (one guide lists this as a Silver Rupee, which is worth 100 rupees)
Tips
- You can skip the wait: sit at the campfire and rest until noon, then take the photo straight away.
- Check the in-game clock before you go; arriving a little before noon saves the rest.
- The quest only appears once you have finished the Fire Temple (Yunobo of Goron City) and Goron City is back to normal; the two Gorons stand outside the inn.
- The “moon” is simply sunlight falling through the hole in the cave roof, so it only works in daylight at midday.
