Parcy is hacking at a rare ore deposit just outside South Akkala Stable and cannot make a dent. Smash it in a single blow with a heavy weapon (a hammer, a rock-fused weapon or a Bomb Flower) and the gems that spill out are yours.
Walkthrough
Talk to Parcy at the ore deposit
Walk out of South Akkala Stable to the dark ore deposit set into the grassy hillside, where Parcy keeps swinging her sword at it. Talk to her to take the challenge: if you can break it with one strike, you keep the gems.
Break it with one hit
Equip something with real weight, such as a big hammer or a club fused with a heavy rock, and swing once at the deposit. A Bomb Flower also works: fuse one to an arrow, back off to a safe distance and shoot the deposit. A loose rock lies at the base of a tree to the southeast of Parcy; fuse it to any weapon for a one-hit break. Weak swords, spears and bows only chip it, and that does not count. If you smash the deposit before speaking to Parcy, the quest completes immediately.
Collect the gems
Pick up everything that drops from the broken deposit, then speak to Parcy again to finish the quest. She is impressed and decides to make a weapon like yours.
Rewards
All the gems from the deposit. Most guides list a Ruby, a Sapphire and a Topaz; in our run it held a Sapphire and two Rubies. Parcy gives no separate reward.
