Kampo, the owner of Lakeside Stable, asks you to drive three giant Hinox brothers out of the luminous-stone caves near Corta Lake, Calora Lake and Rodai Lake. Defeat all three, then return to Kampo.
Walkthrough
Talk to Kampo at Lakeside Stable
Kampo stands outside the stable on the shore of Lake Floria. He explains that three caves appeared around the lakes after the Upheaval and that three giant monster brothers moved in. Accept the request; your log tracks the three caves.
Defeat the Middle Hinox Brother in Corta Lake Cave
Enter the cave at Corta Lake and jump down the hole inside. After you drop in, go left to the back and blow up the rock pile on the west side with a Bomb Flower; the updraft carries you to the room of the Middle Hinox Brother, a blue Hinox. Use your bow and aim at the eye to stagger it, then close in with melee attacks and back off when it stands. It drops weapons and Hinox parts.
Defeat the Eldest Hinox Brother in Calora Lakefront Cave
Calora Lake Cave has two entrances: one on the upper island at about (1958, -3032, 192) and one just north of the lake at about (2009, -3164, 176), behind a breakable wall. The Eldest Hinox Brother, a black Hinox, stands in the big central chamber at about (2025, -3061, 96). Move the explosive barrels around with Ultrahand to hit it from range, then finish it with melee attacks and weapon fuses. Collect what it drops.
Defeat the Youngest Hinox Brother in Rodai Lakefront Tunnel
Rodai Lakefront Tunnel is pitch dark after you drop in; scan around for Brightbloom Seeds to find ground, then throw more to light the donut-shaped chamber. The Youngest Hinox Brother, a red Hinox, sits behind a pillar there. Jump and aim your bow in mid-air to slow time and shoot its eye, then attack while it is down.
Report to Kampo
Return to Lakeside Stable and talk to Kampo once the third brother is down. He rewards you with Mighty Fried Bananas and tells you that you may mine all the luminous stones you need from the caves.
Rewards
Kampo gives you Mighty Fried Bananas for clearing the caves. The caves are now free to mine, and each has a Bubbulfrog (Bubbul Gem) worth finding. The three Hinox drop weapons and monster parts such as Hinox Teeth and Hinox Toenails.
Tips
- In Corta Lake Cave a Bomb Flower thrown at the rock wall on the west side creates an updraft that carries you to the Hinox room.
- Aim at the eye while in mid-air with the bow to slow time and land easy hits.
- Zora Armor helps you swim up the waterfalls around the lakes.
- These are the same three brothers as in the Breath of the Wild Three Giant Brothers quest.
