Gaddison warns that monsters have built a fort on the north side of Ja’Abu Ridge. Clear it, free the trapped Hylian Hino, loot the chests and report back to Gaddison in Zora’s Domain.

How to start The Fort at Ja’Abu Ridge
Finish the Water Temple and the Regional Phenomena story first. Then talk to Gaddison on the bridge east of the throne room in Zora’s Domain. She asks you to deal with the fort before it becomes a threat to the domain.
The Fort at Ja’Abu Ridge walkthrough
Go to the fort on the north side of Ja’Abu Ridge
The fort stands on the north side of Ja’Abu Ridge, at about (4167, 59, 349); the quickest way is to warp to Ihen-a Shrine and glide southeast. Gliding in from above puts you on the fort’s upper platforms with a height advantage. The enemies are Bokoblins and a Boss Bokoblin whose colour (Red/Blue up to Black/Silver) scales with your progress; bomb arrows into the group work well. Approach it and defeat the monsters on its wooden walkways and in the courtyard; the quest log updates once the fort is cleared.
Free Hino from the cage
In the courtyard is a wooden cage holding Hino, a Hylian. Use Ultrahand to pull the cage open. He thanks you for saving him and gives you a reward.
Open the chests behind the crates
The fort has several chests: one inside a cage on the lower level and three at the highest point, behind the Boss Bokoblin. Move any crates aside with Ultrahand and open them for a Lynel Reaper, Arrow x5 and Amber. Sources disagree on the exact contents of each chest, so open all of them.
Rewards

- A thank-you gift from Hino.
- Silver Rupee (100 rupees) from Gaddison when you report back in Zora’s Domain.
Tips
Report back to Gaddison after clearing the fort to close the quest. Monsters in the fort come back after a blood moon, so you can return for its chests then.
