The Missing Owner

Quest typeSide quest
GiverCara
Starts inGerudo Town, at the jewelry stall
RequirementsReach Gerudo Town (guides list clearing the Lightning Temple as the unlock; the quest can be taken earlier but the sandstorm over the dunes makes it hard to find Isha until Riju of Gerudo Town is done); Bomb Flowers, Brightbloom Seeds or arrows to beat a Molduga; food for Heat Resistance
Reward1 Diamond; Isha then offers Pride of the Gerudo

Cara’s boss Isha has gone missing in the Toruma Dunes, west of Gerudo Town, where a Molduga has her pinned in place. Defeat the Molduga, then talk to Cara back in town to receive a Diamond. Finishing it also unlocks Isha’s follow-up quest, Pride of the Gerudo.

Walkthrough

Talk to Cara at the jewelry stall

Speak to Cara at the jewelry stall in Gerudo Town and ask about the owner. She explains that Isha went out into the dunes to find materials for adornments and has not come back, and that the Molduga’s territory is too dangerous for her to search. Accept the quest and head west toward the Toruma Dunes.

Defeat the Molduga and free Isha

Isha stands frozen on the sand beside a large rock at about (-4766, -2828), because a Molduga attacks anything that makes noise. Stay on rock outcrops or in a vehicle, throw an item (a Brightbloom Seed, bomb or any spare item) onto the sand to draw the Molduga out, and hit it with Bomb Flowers or arrows when it surfaces; a Bomb Flower or Time Bomb it swallows stuns it. If Riju is in your party, her Lightning Strike also stuns it, after which you can rush in with melee attacks, aiming for its pale belly. Retreat to the rock between rounds. When it falls, talk to Isha; she thanks you and asks you to visit her shop in Gerudo Town.

Return to Cara for your reward

Go back to Cara at the stall in Gerudo Town. She is thrilled to see Isha again and gives you a Diamond. Isha says she has a reward of her own for you, which begins Pride of the Gerudo.

Rewards

  • Diamond
  • Molduga Dorsal Fin, Molduga Liver and Molduga Jaw from the Molduga
  • Access to Pride of the Gerudo, which needs this quest finished first

Tips

  • Fire arrows and Bomb Flowers thrown into its open mouth do the most damage.
  • Eat Heat Resistance food by day; the dunes are far from shelter.
  • Once the Molduga is down, Isha returns to Gerudo Town by herself, so there is no need to escort her.
  • Keep the Diamond: Pride of the Gerudo asks for four of them.
