Fernison’s race course at the Hudson Construction Site is open once you have finished Master the Vehicle Prototype and rested a day. Build any vehicle with her Steering Stick, touch every light and return to the start in under two minutes to beat Tali’s record and collect three Zonai Charges.

Walkthrough

Talk to Fernison

After Master the Vehicle Prototype, rest until the next day and return to Fernison at the Hudson Construction Site. She is ready to run the Tarrey Town Race; speak to her when you want to enter. You may use any vehicle you like, but the race uses a specific Steering Stick so she can collect data.

Build a fast vehicle

Take a Steering Stick from the device dispenser and build with Ultrahand. A simple hover craft or a light wheeled cart with a Fan or two on the back is fast enough: Big Wheels give stability, Small Wheels give speed. Fernison asks whether to use the vehicle as it is or make adjustments before you start.

Run the course in under two minutes

Hold the Steering Stick the whole time and drive through every light beam (six lights on the course), then return to the start platform and the light at the finish line. Letting go of the stick or driving far off the course disqualifies you. Finish in under two minutes to beat Tali’s record; Fernison congratulates you and gives you three Zonai Charges.

Try the expert course

Beating the record opens the expert course. Talk to Fernison again to run the longer course; each attempt costs 10 rupees. Finishing the expert course in under three minutes earns a Large Zonai Charge, and setting a new record earns another. The race can be repeated as often as you like.

Rewards

  • Zonai Charge x3
  • The expert course, and Tali and Shabonne can head to Lurelin Village for the Lurelin Water Rally project

Tips

  • Clear space in your pouch before claiming the charges.
  • Check that every wheel faces the right way before you attach the Steering Stick; once it is attached you get the prompt to start the race. If it is night, rest until day first.
