GiverRiju
Starts inGerudo Town, at Riju’s throne
RequirementsRiju of Gerudo Town main quest complete; Brightbloom Seeds and a way to clear rock (bombs or a Time Bomb device)
RewardVah Naboris Divine Helm

Riju’s clue speaks of a swordswoman on the sand pointing to treasure underground. The treasure is the Vah Naboris Divine Helm in a chest at the end of the West Gerudo Underground Ruins, northwest of Gerudo Town at about (-4673, -1986).

Walkthrough

Talk to Riju

Speak to Riju on her throne in Gerudo Town. She found ancient text in the shelter reading “Seek out the swordswoman upon the sand and look to where she points; there is treasure waiting underground.” She does not know what it means, so the search is yours.

Go to the West Gerudo Underground Ruins

Start at the first sword-wielding statue and follow the direction its sword points to the next one; they lead to the great bone ruins northwest of town (one statue stands near a Molduga that will not wake unless you step on the sand). The entrance is a cracked floor beneath the great skeleton at (-4673, -1986); blow it open with a bomb or Bomb Flower. Drop in through the opening and follow the sandy passages inside, lighting the dark rooms with Brightbloom Seeds and clearing rocks that block the way.

Open the chest at the end

In the first room break the rocks until you find a statue that shows where to dig next; a hidden passage on the right side leads to a second chamber, whose path continues through the left wall. In the final chamber, move a switch with Ultrahand to open a gate (which also shortcuts back to the first chamber) and reach the chest. Open it for the Vah Naboris Divine Helm, which adds Shock Resistance. Along the way a chest holds a Gerudo Spear and a Bubbulfrog gives a Bubbul Gem.

Tips

  • If you lose the helm it can be bought back from Cece in Hateno Village (about 4,000 rupees) after her related side adventure.
  • Bring plenty of Brightbloom Seeds; the cave is very dark.
  • Ascend through the ceiling to leave once you have the helm.
