Darkness Falls is the last scenario of Cia’s Tale and is set in the Valley of Seers. Ganondorf has come for Cia’s Triforce of Power, Wizzro betrays her, and Volga eventually leaves her side. You win by defeating Ganondorf, and you lose if the Allied Base falls. It closes out Cia’s Tale and counts toward the 32 scenarios you need for Hero Mode.

Before you start

Cia is the warrior for most of the fight, and a Darkness-element weapon is the recommended choice. Volga defends the east side at the start, so plan a second visit with him for the Heart Container. Keep your Allied Base healthy, since several enemy attacks aim at it directly.

Defend the keeps from the Gohmas

The east and west keeps

Ganondorf sends two Gohmas to attack your keeps, one in the east and one in the west. Volga defends the east keep, so head west with Cia and take on the western Gohma first. Drain its Weak Point Gauge and finish it with a Weak Point Smash.

Manhandla

Manhandla boss fight

Manhandla then appears on the western field and spits seeds toward your Allied Base. Its heads are armored most of the time and deflect attacks. Wait for the brief moments when they turn organic and stun them, using the Boomerang if you have it. When all four heads are stunned it falls and exposes its Weak Point Gauge. Empty the gauge and finish with a Weak Point Smash. Then turn to the second Gohma and defeat it the same way.

Defeat the traitor Wizzro

Once the Gohmas are dealt with, Wizzro refuses Cia’s orders and joins Ganondorf, and the Icy Big Poes turn against you with him. Clear the Icy Big Poes that head for your base first. Cia then calls up Dark Links to fight beside her. They matter for the Hard or Hero Gold Skulltula, so stay close to them and clear the enemies around them.

After the base is safe, go after Wizzro and defeat him. He is sealed back into his ring.

Ganondorf boss fight

With Wizzro gone and Volga off on his own, Ganondorf attacks in the south and opens more keeps. Hold your ground and capture the keeps you can reach. Lana then appears at the Fairy Fountain Keep and offers to dispel the barrier of darkness protecting Ganondorf’s base. She has to reach his base for that to work, so head there with her. The longer you wait, the stronger Ganondorf grows, so do not stall.

When the barrier falls, enter the Enemy Base and fight Ganondorf with Cia and Lana together. Defeat him to clear the scenario.

This one is easy on any difficulty: defeat 1,000 enemies. Look in the dead end just southwest of the Allied Base.

Play as Volga. The Heart Container is at the Fairy Fountain Keep, behind a boulder that you blow up with a bomb.
