Land in the Sky is the first Skyward Sword scenario. You play Link alone on Skyloft, recover the stolen Pumpkin Soup so the giant Levias can bridge the islands, protect Fi on her deliveries, stop Ghirahim and finally defeat Volga with a boost from the Great Fairy. Clearing it unlocks Fi and her Goddess Blade, and opens Sealed Ambition.

Before you start

Link is your only warrior, so the only choice is his weapon. For the Hard Gold Skulltula you need Link wielding a Hylian Sword type, so equip one before you begin. Keep a bomb ready for the rock that hides the Heart Container, and top up your health items, since nobody can cover for you.

Pumpkin Soup and Fi

Goddess Statue and Statue Keep

Skyloft’s soldiers report that the Dark Forces stole Levias’s soup. Fight toward the Goddess Statue and the Statue Keep. At the statue you meet Fi, who emerges from the Goddess Sword and offers to serve you. Take the Pumpkin Soup from the Statue Keep.

Ghirahim at the Academy Keep

As your side gains ground, Ghirahim moves to take your Allied Base and the objective becomes defeating him. Go after him at once: the Hard Gold Skulltula needs him beaten before he reaches the base. Attack in short bursts, dodge his teleports and finish him with a Smash or special attack. He leaves the battlefield once beaten, and the objective returns to escorting Fi.

Fi joins you at the end, and she is the warrior you need for the Heart Container in Sealed Ambition.
