The Demon Lord’s Plan is the third scenario of Linkle’s Tale. Ghirahim is trying to summon The Imprisoned at the Sealed Grounds, and Linkle teams up with Fi to stop him. You win by shutting down the ritual troops, forcing your way into the Enemy Base and defeating Ghirahim. Capturing the East Keep also gives Linkle the Hylian Crossbows.

Before you start

Start as Linkle and switch to Fi when the battle opens up. Fi is needed for the Heart Container, and you will want her anyway for the large crowds. Linkle must stay your main character for the Piece of Heart and the Hard or Hero Gold Skulltula. Healing items are useful for the final fight.

Stop the summoning

Defeat the Ceremonial Troops

The ritual fails at the start, so small copies of The Imprisoned keep appearing from Ceremonial Troops spread across the map. The first objective is to defeat The Imprisoned, and Shield Moblins advance toward your Gold Cucco, so keep it safe. Fi advises beating all of the Ceremonial Troops. Find each Ceremonial Troop and defeat it quickly, then the summons slow down and they eventually run out of magic and stop. As you go, you may also see a Cucco Chick looking for food; escort it to its Feeding Grounds and it grows into a Gold Cucco that helps your side.

Defeat the Controller Troops

Once you capture the East Keep, the objective changes to defeating all Controller Troops, who steer the small Imprisoned toward your Allied Base. Hunt them down before the herd reaches it, then go back to finishing the Ceremonial Troops. Once they are gone, the Imprisoned stop marching on the base and only roam where they are, which also makes them easy to defeat for the Hard or Hero Skulltula.

Open the Enemy Base

With the Ceremonial Troops gone, Ghirahim closes the Enemy Base to protect the Gate of Souls. A Keep Boss of Shield Moblins appears at West Cannon Keep. Fight through the Shield Moblins and the remaining Imprisoned, then capture keeps as you go. Capture the East Keep along the way to open its chest and take the Hylian Crossbows. After that, Ghirahim draws power from The Imprisoned, opens the temple entrances himself and charges toward your Allied Base.

Ghirahim boss fight

Intercept Ghirahim before he reaches your Allied Base, because if it falls you lose; the objective becomes Defeat Ghirahim once you head into the temple. Keep moving to avoid his attacks, hit him when he leaves an opening, and use special attacks when your gauge is full. When he is beaten he swears to try again and retreats, ending the scenario.

Gold Skulltula for 1000 KOs

Available on any difficulty. Defeat 1000 enemies, then look for the Skulltula beneath a boulder at the center of the Sealed Grounds. The endless Imprisoned and Bokoblins make the count easy.

Gold Skulltula on Hard or Hero

Play as Linkle on Hard or Hero and defeat every Ceremonial Troop, every Controller Troop and The Imprisoned. Then go northwest of Temple Entrance Keep and attack the Skulltula there. You need to clear all of Legend Mode to unlock these difficulties, so come back later if they are not open yet.

Heart Container

Play as Fi and look beneath a boulder west of the Hall of Time. Break the boulder and take the Heart Container. If you are Linkle when you break it, replay the scenario as Fi.
