The Sentry is a flying drone released by Divine Beast Vah Rudania. It carries a searchlight and its job is to spot intruders on Death Mountain. If its light catches you, the Divine Beast answers with Magma Bombs, so the practical plan is to stay out of the beam or destroy the drone. It has 1,000 health.

Sentries appear only on Death Mountain while you work through the Vah Rudania quest, patrolling along the climb toward the Divine Beast.
How to deal with it
Stay out of the light
Watch the red beam and wait behind cover until it sweeps away from you before you move on.
Destroy it if you want the parts
You can sneak past one, or destroy it with strong arrows to clear the path and collect its Ancient parts. It has 1,000 health, so expect to use several shots.
