Vah Rudania has driven the Gorons from Death Mountain. You rescue Yunobo from the Abandoned North Mine, escort him up the mountain by firing him from cannons at the Divine Beast, then enter its body, activate five terminals by tilting it, and defeat Fireblight Ganon.
Finding Yunobo
Go to the Abandoned North Mine
Leave Goron City by the northern hills, past Shae Mo’sah Shrine. Rock Octoroks wait on the path, so use bombs on them. At Darunia Lake, talk to Drak beside the cannon. The vault in the middle of the lake is hotter than the path, so wear two pieces of Flamebreaker gear or one piece plus an elixir.

Cannon the Lizalfos camps
Put a round Remote Bomb in the cannon, hit the lever with a weapon to aim it, and detonate for a cannonball. Clear each Lizalfos camp this way and glide across using the geysers. Another cannon can blow up a boulder hiding ore, and a big wooden structure can be demolished with another shot.
Use a cannon to destroy the boulder in front of the vault and free Yunobo. Inside are Rupees, weapons and two chests with a purple Rupee and 10 Ice Arrows.

Return to Bludo
Bludo gives you 3 Fireproof Elixirs and recalls Daruk. A memory of Daruk plays. Bludo says Yunobo, a descendant of Daruk, can use Daruk’s Protection, and sends you to meet Yunobo at the Bridge of Eldin.

The ascent
Cross the Bridge of Eldin
Go along the road past the hot springs and Daqa Koh Shrine to Yunobo, who is harassed by two Moblins. After you save him, load him into the cannon with a bomb and detonate to fire him across the bridge and lower it.

Avoid the Sentries
Sentries patrol the path and call magma bombs if you are seen. Hide in tunnels, drop boulders from ledges to destroy them, and use Magnesis on metal crates to smash the groups of three. Bombs thrown near gust vents are carried up to the Sentries. Moblins guard each cannon, so clear them with a weapon or drop crates on them.

Fire Yunobo at the beast
At each cannon, load Yunobo and aim at Vah Rudania so he hits it and pushes it upward. After the final cannonball the Divine Beast crashes into the volcano and you can enter.

Inside Divine Beast Vah Rudania
Entrance and the Guidance Stone
Check the tail for a chest with an Ancient Screw before entering. Inside it is dark, but Blight and its eyes glow. Shoot three eyes to open chests with a Dragonbone Boko Club, Ice Arrows and a special torch. Light the torch at the blue flame, ignite the brazier by the sealed door, defeat the Guardian Scout, and shoot four eyes for chests with arrows and a Knight’s Bow. Light the brazier to the left of the bow to unseal the Guidance Stone.

First and second terminals
Tilt the beast so the first terminal sits on an island, then reorient from a high ledge opposite and glide to it. For the second, exit to the spines, clear Blight, take the Ancient Core from the chest, and shoot the eye guarding the terminal covered in Blight.

Third and fourth terminals
At the rear legs, burn the wooden plank with a fire arrow and open the doors with Magnesis for the third terminal. Fire at the dry leaves for an Ancient Gear. For the fourth, tilt the beast so the grate becomes a slope, climb to the sphere trapped behind a gate and light the brazier. Use Stasis on the sphere before tilting back so it rolls inside to the receptacle. The chest on the side holds a Knight’s Bow, and the chest under the beast holds a Silver Rupee.

Fifth terminal
Light an arrow in blue flame and shoot through the hole in the sealed door at the unlit brazier. Shoot the dry leaves on the ceiling to uncover a metal box, move it over the jet of flame with Magnesis, tilt the beast and crawl through under the box. Reorient the beast on the other side and activate the last terminal.

Boss: Fireblight Ganon
Phase one
Fireblight Ganon uses a giant sword for sweeps, overhead smashes and a spin, and casts small fireballs when he steps away. His weapon position tells you which direction the swing will come from, so a perfect dodge into a flurry attack works well.

Phase two
At half health he sets his weapon aflame and wraps himself in fire, teleports, and absorbs energy for a meteor. When he draws power, throw a Remote Bomb into him and detonate it to break the shield. His fire trail makes updrafts for gliding above him, and a shot to the eye stuns him.
