Reach Zora’s Domain

Quest typeMain quest
Given byPrince Sidon, on the bridge near Lanayru Tower
RegionLanayru
ObjectiveZora’s Domain (x 3272, z -401, map square I-4)
RewardElectro Elixir from Sidon; start of Divine Beast Vah Ruta

Prince Sidon asks you to travel to Zora’s Domain on foot, since rain makes climbing impossible. The road is long and filled with Lizalfos and electric enemies, so bring shock resistance and a bow. Cross Oren Bridge, Luto’s Crossing and the final canyon.

How to find it

You meet Sidon after Gruve sends you to him near Lanayru Tower and Soh Kofi Shrine. From there the road follows the river toward Zora’s Domain.

Solution

Accept Sidon’s request

Sidon explains he needs a Hylian to help at the Domain and gives you an Electro Elixir, because many enemies on this road use electricity. He swims ahead and reappears along the way to cheer you on.

Along the river

The road winds beside the water. Octoroks shoot from the shore and Lizalfos camouflage on the path. Further on you cross the river on large rock slabs while more Octoroks fire; snipe them or deflect shots with a shield.

The road to Oren Bridge

On the long slope, enemies roll boulders down the path and Lizalfos wait at the top. A small canyon of brambles can be burned, or climb out of it. Beyond, Lizalfos archers perched with shock arrows can paralyze you and make you drop weapons; drink the elixir, shoot them or sneak by. Electric Keese fill the next canyon, so use spears or arrows. Oren Bridge (map square H-5) has a cooking pot beside a Lizalfos.

Ruto Mountain and Luto’s Crossing

Ahead, boulders fall on the slope and a big boulder blocks a canyon; crawl past it. A Lizalfos ambush and a cache of spears sit behind you as you leave. Boomerang Lizalfos and a large wall describing Zora history come before Luto’s Crossing (map square I-5), where a Moblin attacks from behind as Sidon warns you.

The Lightning Wizzrobe

The last fight is a Lightning Wizzrobe that fires bolts and summons lightning storms. Metal weapons and armor attract lightning, so swap to wood or Guardian gear when they crackle, or stay back and shoot it. Defeat it and take its loot.

Enter the Domain

Round the corner and the road slopes down toward Zora’s Domain, with part of the Divine Beast visible in the reservoir. Shield-surf, glide or run past two Moblins. Inside, climb to the top floor where the Zora king and Sidon explain the situation and begin Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Tips

  • The Domain has an inn, a shop, Ne’ez Yohma Shrine and a Goddess Statue.
  • Bring food, electricity-resistant meals if you have them, and spare non-metal weapons.
