This chapter of the 100% walkthrough covers the Lanayru region in a route that collects everything along the way: 7 shrines, 59 Korok seeds and the Sheikah Tower, plus the quests, chests and minibosses you meet.

Table of Contents

Kincean Island: Korok Seed and Sleeping Hinox

Glide down from the cliffs onto the grassy islands in the Lanayru wetlands, near Kincean Island. On a rounded hill there is a ring of small stones with one gap in it. Lift a loose boulder from the slope beside it, carry it up and set it in the gap, and a Korok pops out and hands over a Korok seed. The ring sits at roughly (show on map), near Kincean Island. See the Korok seed overview for the full list.

Hinox

Hinox on Kincean Island

A Hinox lies asleep between the trees a short walk away. Sneak up and open with hits on its toes and belly while it is down, then back off and dodge its stomps once it rises. Once it goes down it leaves Hinox Tooth and Hinox Toenail behind. Bring a few spare weapons, because its thick hide wears them out quickly.

The Zora in the river

Follow the shore west and cross the wooden walkway over the water. A Zora named Tona surfaces beside it and asks whether you are a Hylian. He tells you to head for Zora’s Domain, where everything will be explained. This is the first hint of the Reach Zora’s Domain main quest.

Lanayru Gear Chests and the Ice Wizzrobe

Rain sets in as you move north. Along the way, look for a hollow in the rock with a small pond in it. A chest sits on the ledge beside the water and opening it gives a Hunter’s Shield.

Further on, among the giant rib bones that stick out of the hills, a wooden lookout is built around a tree. A Bokoblin guards the platforms; climb the planks and a chest on the upper deck holds a Silver Bow, a Zora fishing bow with high durability.

On a ledge higher up the same slope an Ice Wizzrobe hovers near the ribs. Take a photo for the Compendium, then fight it with fire: a Fire Rod or fire arrows work well against an Ice Wizzrobe.

Lanayru Tower and Soh Kofi Shrine

Gruve

Unlock Lanayru Tower

Climb the stairway inside Lanayru Tower (show on map). A Zora named Gruve waits at the top: he was sent by Prince Sidon of Zora’s Domain to look for a Hylian, though he admits he dozed off. When he sees you he realises you are a Hylian. Activate the terminal to unlock the tower map and open the scope to survey the area around Lanayru.

Soh Kofi Shrine: A Minor Test of Strength

North of the tower and above the bridge, Soh Kofi Shrine (show on map) rests on the hillside. A Zora called Torfeau stands outside and says Zora’s Domain is in terrible danger, which is why Prince Sidon sent him looking. Step onto the pad at the entrance.

The trial is a one-on-one fight against a sword-and-shield Guardian Scout. Dodge its slashes and counter, use the pillars to stop its spinning attack, rise on the updraft from its floor laser to shoot its eye, and finish it before its last energy volley.

The far door opens into the monk’s chamber. A chest on the way holds a Knight’s Bow, and Monk Soh Kofi then grants a Spirit Orb.

Meet Prince Sidon by the Lanayru Bridge

Go to the bridge below Lanayru Tower. Prince Sidon is waiting there in the rain. He asks for your help at Zora’s Domain, says Zora’s Domain will be saved, and gives you an Electro Elixir, a drink made for Hylians, because many enemies on the road ahead use lightning. This completes the first step of Reach Zora’s Domain; the next is to reach the Domain itself on foot.

Tabahl Woods: Hinox and Korok Seeds

The road to the Domain passes through Tabahl Woods to the east. A Hinox walks the pine forest here. Photograph it for the Compendium, then wear it down: dodge the stomps, strike at its legs when it drops to a knee and use the trees for cover. Its drops include Seared Steak, Hinox Tooth and weapons it carried, so check the grass after it falls.

Korok Seed

Korok seed under the summit stone

On a small grassy mound in the woods, a pale stone sits on the very top. Climb the mound, lift the stone and throw it aside, and the Korok underneath gives you a seed.

Korok seed in the hilltop well

On a pine-covered hill further along, a round stone well stands at the summit with a chained iron ball lying beside it. Use Magnesis on the ball, lift it up and drop it into the well. A Korok comes out of the well with a seed.

The Road to Oren Bridge: Chests and Korok Seeds

Follow the lamps

Stay on the path marked by glowing Zora lamp posts. Sidon keeps surfacing in the pools beside the route to cheer you on and tell you how far Zora’s Domain is, so you can use him as a progress guide.

Korok seed: stones across the pond

Beside a pond in the hills, a line of stones leads across the water and one stone is missing. Pick up a loose stone from the bank, carry it to the gap and drop it in, and a Korok appears among the stones with a seed.

Oren Bridge chests

At Oren Bridge (show on map) the Zora bridge runs over the water, and Sidon calls out that you are almost halfway. Make Cryonis ice blocks in the water to climb up to the deck. Chests rest on the span, and you can drag them to you with Magnesis. They hold Ice Arrows (x5) and a Silver Bow; drop a weapon first if your inventory is full.

Zora history walls

Past the bridge, the path runs below stone walls carved with the history of Zora’s Domain. Stand in front of one and read it to hear how the Zora and Hyrule built East Reservoir Lake together; you can go on without reading them.

Silver Rupee

Lizalfos camp and the Silver Rupee chest

Further along the shore, a ruined wooden camp is occupied by Lizalfos. Fight them one at a time, and you can pick up Lizal Forked Boomerangs, Lizalfos Horns and Lizalfos Tails as they drop. Behind the wreckage, a chest holds a Silver Rupee (100 rupees).

Hillside Korok Seeds on the Climb to Zora’s Domain

In the shallows there is a grassy islet with a ring of rocks. One rock is missing from the circle, so pick up the stone lying nearby and place it in the gap. A Korok emerges with a seed.

Further up the rocky hillside a small stone-block pattern is set into the cliff wall, with an empty space in it. Use Magnesis to lift the loose metal block lying in the grass, and fit it into the space in the wall. A Korok appears at the foot of the wall.

A little higher, climb up a cliff and then glide down onto the grassy slope below. A Korok hides on the hillside and hands over a seed when you reach it.

Zora Spear

Zora Spear chest

On the next stretch a chest sits on a rock out in the water. Place Cryonis blocks across the shallows to reach it. Open the chest for a Zora Spear.

Wizzrobe by the Vah Ruta wall

A longer wall, “History of the Zora, Part Six”, tells of Divine Beast Vah Ruta and the part King Dorephan played. Past it, a Wizzrobe floats over the path. Photograph it for the Compendium and bring it down with arrows or a spear.

Korok Seed

More Korok seeds

Climb the rocks past the wall and look out over the dark slope below. Follow the glimmering lights and glide down toward them; a Korok waits at the spot where the lights end and gives you a seed.

The last seed of this stretch lies at the top of a boulder-covered peak. Climb it, lift the rock on the summit and set it down, and a Korok greets you with a seed.

Korok Seeds on the Rain-Soaked Ridges Below Zora’s Domain (Three Seeds)

The storm over Lanayru makes climbing slippery, so work your way over the rounded ridges on foot and glide off the high points. Two Korok seeds sit along this stretch. The first Korok is waiting at the very crest of a bare, rounded hilltop: walk up to the top and he hands over his seed. The second is tucked into a rocky slope near the stone arches of the Zora ruins. Metal blocks are stacked against the rock face there, so aim Magnesis at the loose block and lift it out of the stack. The Korok appears as soon as the blocks are shifted.

The third seed is on another hilltop a little further along. A rock lies on the crest; pick it up and carry it away, and the Korok hiding beneath it gives you a seed. From here the ground levels out into green hills, and Zora’s Domain lies ahead on the map.

Reach Zora’s Domain: Moblin Fight and the Great Zora Bridge

Before the Domain, a Moblin attacks on the grassy slope. Keep moving, shoot or slash it down and pick up its Moblin Fang and Moblin Horn. It also drops a Moblin Spear, though you may have to drop something from your pack to carry it.

Follow the path round to a Zora stone monument whose inscription tells of a beast that once threatened the people from Ploymus Mountain. Past it, the road becomes the glowing, pillared Great Zora Bridge, which runs straight into Zora’s Domain. Cross it and climb the long stairway toward the throne room. The map objective updates as you step into the city.

King Dorephan, the Zora Armor and the Vah Ruta Quest

Climb to the throne room and speak with King Dorephan. When you explain that you have lost your memory and carry the Sheikah Slate, he explains the Zora’s plight and presents you with the Zora Armor, which lets you swim up waterfalls like a Zora. It is the first piece of the Zora Set, and you will use it constantly in this region. When he finishes, the main quest Divine Beast Vah Ruta begins.

Mipha

Memory: Mipha’s Touch

Go down to the square below the throne room, where the elder Muzu and Sidon are arguing in front of the statue of Mipha. Look up at the statue after their conversation to trigger the story memory Mipha’s Touch. Afterward Muzu relents and promises to tell you where to find shock arrows. Sidon says he is certain you will rise to the challenge.

Ne’ez Yohma Shrine: Pushing Power Trial and Zora Spear

Ne’ez Yohma Shrine (show on map) is in the middle of the Domain, behind the statue of Mipha. The trial is Pushing Power, built around Cryonis: raise ice blocks to nudge a sphere down a slope full of rolling boulders into its receptacle. Climb the slope to a chest on a platform behind a laser to get a Zora Spear; block the beam with an ice block to reach it. Then clear the boulders and push the sphere home with ice blocks. Talk to the monk Ne’ez Yohma for the Spirit Orb.

Zora’s Domain Pickups: Fleet-Lotus Seeds, Inn, Shop and Cooking

When you leave the shrine, take some time to look around the plaza. Fleet-Lotus Seeds grow on the lotus pads in the water here, and you can take a Bright-Eyed Crab picture for the Compendium. The inn charges 20 rupees for a normal bed, and the shop will buy your spare materials. A cooking pot stands nearby, so cook some food for the climb ahead.

Luminous Stone Gathering: Ledo’s Trade

Ledo in Zora’s Domain needs Luminous Stones for repairs. If you are already carrying 10, he takes them and thanks you for the full set; the first handover pays two Diamonds. See Luminous Stone Gathering for the details.

Diving is Beauty!: Gruve’s Waterfall Dive

Near the big staircase, Gruve stands beside a waterfall and wants to see a beautiful dive. Talk to him, dive from the ledge into the water in front of him, then wear the Zora Armor and swim straight up the waterfall to finish the climb. Talk to him again and he is delighted, giving you 5 Fleet-Lotus Seeds. The full steps are on the Diving is Beauty! page.

Lynel Safari: Laflat and Underwater Treasure

Close to the throne room, talk to Laflat to begin Lynel Safari. She wants a Camera rune picture of a Red-Maned Lynel; the reward is the Zora Greaves. The Lynel you need lives on Ploymus Mountain, which is exactly where the shock arrows are, so you can do both in one trip.

While you are in the lower part of the Domain, dive into the flooded plaza and the water around its pillars. A Silver Rupee sits on the bed among the pillars, worth 100 rupees. There are also chests in the Domain waters, and a Silver Shield is among the loot lying around the square.

Ploymus Mountain: Shock Arrows and the Red-Maned Lynel

Leave by the east gate, wear the Zora Armor and swim up the waterfalls past Lulu Lake and Mikau Lake toward Ploymus Mountain (show on map). Another stone monument along the way tells how Prince Sidon went out to deal with an Octorok. The slope above the lakes opens onto a grassy meadow, and Shock Arrows lie in the grass and in the trees; this is the Fetch lightning arrows objective of the Reach Zora’s Domain quest.

A Red-Maned Lynel patrols the meadow. Open the Camera rune from a distance and frame it until its name is shown; that completes the first task of Lynel Safari and adds the Lynel to the Compendium. Fighting it is optional but very rewarding, and you can use Flurry Rush to dodge and counter. Beating it drops a Lynel Shield, a Lynel Bow and a Silver Bow, so empty some inventory slots first.

Keep collecting Shock Arrows around the meadow and in the trees as the light fades, and carry on up the mountain toward the summit at Shatterback Point (show on map). You need 20 arrows for the assault on the Divine Beast.

Vah Ruta: Ride Sidon and Shoot the Four Orbs

Drop into the reservoir at the top of the mountain, where Sidon is waiting. Pick “I’m ready” when he asks if you have the Zora Armor and enough shock arrows. Climb on his back for the assault on Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

While Sidon swims around the beast, Vah Ruta throws blocks of ice at you. Shoot them down or smash them with Cryonis, and aim a shock arrow at each of the four glowing orbs on its body. After a couple of orbs the beast changes the pattern, so keep your bow ready. When the last orb is hit, the water stops pouring and Ruta floats higher, ready for you to board.

Divine Beast Vah Ruta Walkthrough: Terminals and Chests

Sidon wishes you luck and you step inside. Use the Guidance Stone beside the entrance to pull up the map; it lets you tilt the trunk, and with every terminal you restore, more of the beast opens up. A chest in the pool nearby can be pulled up with Magnesis for an Ancient Spring.

Lift the gate with a Cryonis block to continue, then use Magnesis on the crank to raise the first terminal. Later, climb to the room with the turning waterwheel and ride a paddle up to a ledge behind the fountain for a chest of 100 rupees. Block the fountain with Cryonis while the terminal on the wheel is near the bottom, so the wheel stops and you can reach the terminal.

Tilt the trunk until water pours onto the next wheel. Freeze the block at the top with Stasis and hit it to claim an Ancient Core from the chest. Another terminal requires you to swing a ball into the block opposite it and freeze the block with Stasis, so the gate stays open long enough to run through. After you use the third terminal, the Slate says only two terminals remain.

On the way to the fourth terminal, a chest holds 10 Fire Arrows. Higher up, a waterfall carries you to a chest with a Knight’s Halberd, and a Blight-guarded chest at the end of a dead-end corridor holds an Ancient Shaft. Flatten and raise the trunk on the map so you can ride across to the head.

Back at the head, clear the Blight and use the last terminals, flattening the trunk and moving it to the right height to douse the flames. A chest covered in Blight near the final terminal holds 10 Ice Arrows. Shoot the Blight eye on the opposite shoulder from a distance and glide across to reach it.

Waterblight Ganon Boss Fight

Go to the main console in the room below and Waterblight Ganon arrives with a long spear. Place Cryonis pillars to block his thrusts; a spear that strikes a pillar shatters, leaving him open for arrows to the eye. At half health he floods the room, floats upward and throws ice blocks. Shoot the blocks with arrows or Cryonis, build ice bridges between platforms and keep hitting the eye. When he falls, collect the Heart Container.

Mipha's Grace

Mipha’s Grace

Mipha‘s spirit appears and gives you her power, Mipha’s Grace, which revives you once with full hearts plus extra yellow ones, then needs time to recharge.

Return to Zora’s Domain: Lightscale Trident

Back in the throne room, Muzu admits he was wrong and hopes you can forgive him. King Dorephan asks you to remember Mipha and tells you to open a chest beside the throne, where you find the Lightscale Trident. Sidon thanks you for winning over the council.

Dueling Peaks Shrine Chests: Eightfold Longblade and Serpentine Spear

Fast travel to the Dueling Peaks. At Shee Vaneer Shrine (show on map), a chest on the upper ledge holds an Eightfold Longblade (tier set by difficulty scaling).

The twin shrine, Shee Venath Shrine (show on map), has a similar chest on its upper ledge with a Serpentine Spear. Both shrines are part of the linked Twin Memories puzzle, so their Spirit Orbs can be collected later.

The Crowned Beast and Mezza Lo Shrine: Ancient Trifecta Trial

Warp to Ta’loh Naeg Shrine and head north-east across the grassy hills towards Rabia Plain. A Blue Nightshade and a fairy turn up along the way.

For the shrine quest The Crowned Beast, sneak up behind a buck, mount it and calm it, then ride it onto the glowing pedestal on the plain. The quest is marked complete and Mezza Lo Shrine (show on map) rises from the ground.

Inside Mezza Lo the trial is Ancient Trifecta, which uses Magnesis and Stasis. Move the metal block with Magnesis onto the floor button in the caged room, then freeze the laser with Stasis so it strikes the switch and turns the pillar. Ride the pillar to the platform with the chest, which holds a Thunderblade, then ride it back to reach the monk. He gives you the Spirit Orb.

Lynel Safari Reward: How to Get the Zora Greaves

Climb the long stairways of Zora’s Domain to Laflat and show her the Lynel photograph from your Camera rune. She hands over the Zora Greaves for finishing Lynel Safari. They are one piece of the Zora armor set, so keep them for the full Swim Speed Up bonus.

Zora Spear Chest and Korok Seed on the Roofs of Zora’s Domain

The tall blue-white spires of the palace can be climbed with plain stamina, so scale the outside of the pillars rather than taking the stairs. A chest on one of the ledges holds a Zora Spear. Keep going up to the flower-shaped crown at the very top, where a Korok sits on the rim of the petals and gives you a Korok seed for finding it.

Knight's Shield

Opal and Knight’s Shield inside the palace

Back on the palace walkways, pick up an Opal lying on a ledge and open a chest nearby for a Knight’s Shield. Both are easy to miss while crossing between stairways, so sweep the curved walkways before you leave the Domain.

Korok Seeds Around Vah Ruta and the Lanayru Slopes

After dark, work along the grassy slopes outside the Domain. On a steep rocky hillside there is a heap of boulders: lift the stones off the pile and a Korok is hiding beneath it, ready to hand over a seed.

Further on, climb up and glide down onto the blue frame of Divine Beast Vah Ruta. On a ledge beside a glowing opening a Korok is perched in plain sight, so you only need to reach it to collect another seed.

A cave nearby holds one of the stone monuments that record Zora history, flanked by two blue torches. Walk up and read it; every monument you read counts toward Zora Stone Monuments once you take that quest from Jiahto.

Later in the night, a grassy ridge dotted with small pink and purple flowers hides a Korok in the middle of the patch. Run through the flowers until it pops up and rewards you with a seed.

How to Get the Zora Helm in Toto Lake

Glide down to the sunken ruins in the lake. A golden chest sits on top of a broken wall above the water, and a metal slab bars the way. Use Magnesis to slide the slab into place as a walkway, cross, and open the chest for the Zora Helm. Equip it at once: with the greaves and the armor the king gives you, the set is complete.

Korok Seeds on the Pale Peak and the Carved Cliff

Climb the rounded, pale-grey peak on this ridge. A Korok is standing right on the summit, so the long climb is the whole puzzle.

Further along, a cliff face carries two stacks of carved stone blocks with a gap in the pattern. Use Magnesis on the loose block and lift it up the cliff to the incomplete stack; a Korok shows up among the blocks and gives you a seed.

Hinox at Ralis Pond

In the forest around Ralis Pond, approach the sleeping Hinox and open with arrows to its eye, then run in and strike while it is down. It breaks weapons quickly (a Knight’s Claymore snaps during the fight), so bring spares. Once it is dead you can report back to Torfeau for The Giant of Ralis Pond.

Further along the pond, climb the huge rounded boulder in the dark. A Korok is perched on its very top, and climbing the stone is all it takes to earn another seed.

The Ceremonial Song: How to Get the Ceremonial Trident

Return to Zora’s Domain and talk to Laruta and Keye about the pedestal at Veiled Falls. Laruta’s song about a gift from the sky and a scale begins The Ceremonial Song.

The Ceremonial Trident lies in the water below the bridge. Use Magnesis to find it, build a Cryonis block to stand on, and pull the trident to the bank. Pick it up and equip it.

Dagah Keek Shrine: How to Raise It at Veiled Falls

Go west to Veiled Falls, swim up the waterfall in the Zora armor and drop from the top, gliding over the glowing platform in the pool. With the trident equipped, stab down onto the platform and Dagah Keek Shrine rises from the ground. The quest completes as soon as the shrine appears.

Dagah Keek’s Blessing is a short blessing shrine. Take the Silver Rupee (100 rupees) inside and speak to the monk to collect the Spirit Orb.

Silver Bow Chest at the Entrance of Zora’s Domain

With the shrine behind you, walk east and glide back into Zora’s Domain. On a pale walkway just inside the entrance, a chest holds a Silver Bow, a good upgrade for the long-range fights ahead.

Zora Stone Monuments and The Giant of Ralis Pond

Inside the palace, speak to Jiahto. He starts Zora Stone Monuments: he asks you to read ten monuments around the Domain and then report back to him.

Torfeau stands near the pools on the second level. He gives you The Giant of Ralis Pond, a request to exterminate the Hinox near Ralis Pond.

Pray at the Goddess Statue in the palace and talk to Trello on the stairs. He tells you something is shining around Veiled Falls and that the trident belongs on the pedestal there, which you can now act on.

Cooking in Zora’s Domain

Use the cooking pot in the palace to turn your stock into meals. Hasty Simmered Fruit, Energizing Mushroom Skewer and Tough Mushroom Skewer all come out of the pot here. Cook a few of each for the long night trip ahead.

Korok Seeds in the Hills Outside the Domain

Leave the Domain and head out in the night. On the hills a round boulder sits on a ledge above a hollow in the grass. Build an ice step with Cryonis, freeze the boulder with Stasis and hit it until it rolls down toward the hollow; a Korok appears and gives you a seed.

Climb the rocky rise a little further on. A lone plant marks the spot at the top, and a Korok waits beside it with another seed.

Lizalfos Camp: Silver Rupee Chest

Slip into the Lizalfos camp in a cave. Climb the wooden lookout in the middle and open the chest on its platform for a Silver Rupee. The Lizalfos drop horns, talons and tails if you need materials.

Stone Talus at Southern Tal Tal Peak

Near the river at the foot of Southern Tal Tal Peak a Stone Talus rises out of the ground. Keep moving, climb onto its back and hit its weak point until it crumbles. It drops an Opal when it falls.

Next to a low ruin of stone blocks on the dark hillside, a Korok is hiding. Use a remote bomb on the blocks and collect the seed.

Blue Hinox at Ja’Abu Ridge

On Ja’Abu Ridge a Blue Hinox is sleeping in the rain. Photograph it for the Hyrule Compendium, then shoot its eye with arrows to topple it and strike its head while it is down. Stay clear of its swings and loot the wood and food it leaves behind. It has far more health than an ordinary Hinox.

A little earlier, in a Lizalfos camp, a chest holds five Fire Arrows. Take them before the fight, since they are useful against wooden gear.

Korok Seeds, Silver Rupee and Ice Arrows on the Rutala Coast

In the heavy rain on a grassy slope, a Korok is standing in the tall grass. Walk up to it to get a seed.

Climb the nearby cliff wall to a ledge among the rocks, where another Korok sits perched. Climb up to it for a seed.

On a green hilltop, a chest sits half-hidden. Lift it free with Magnesis and open it for a Silver Rupee.

Down on the beach by the cove, carry a rock into the circular patch of pebbles and set it down in the middle; the Korok that appears gives you a seed. A camp near the shore also has a chest with five Ice Arrows.

Rucco Maag Shrine: Five Flames

Follow the river to the grassy plain where Rucco Maag Shrine stands here (show on map), south of Ruto Mountain. Bring a bow and fire arrows. Inside, move the block with the switches so that all five torches burn clear of the water jet. Burn through the wooden ledges to drop the Opal and Silver Bow chests, then collect the Spirit Orb from the monk.

Lanayru Coast: Korok Seeds, Naydra Scale and Sunken Chests

Pick up the route on the high ridge, then step off a ledge and open the Paraglider to drop into the dark ravine below. A Korok is waiting at the bottom of the descent, so the first seed of this stretch comes with the landing.

Korok Seed

Night cave: Korok seed under a loose stone

Work along the rain-soaked ground after the ravine and deal with the Keese that come at you after dark; Electric Keese drop wings and are worth a photo for the Compendium. In the damp cave mouth, pick up the stone lying on the ground and a Korok pops out from under it for another seed.

Naydra Scale

Naydra drifts through the sky over the water here during the storm. Stand on the rocks, ready a bow and shoot at her as she passes overhead to knock loose a Naydra Scale, then pick it up.

Korok Seed

Korok seed on the rocky islet

On the small rocky islet just along the shore, lift the lone stone beside the water. The Korok underneath hands over a seed.

Chests in the shallows

The bay beyond the islet hides two chests. Swim out and use Cryonis to raise ice blocks next to the little rock that holds one chest, climb up and open it. Another chest is under the surface: aim Magnesis at it and pull it out of the water onto the shore before opening it.

Korok Seed

Korok seed near the waterfall

Heading east through the foothills, look for the grassy slope at the foot of a cliff with a waterfall pouring behind it. A Korok is hiding in the tall grass here; walk up to the spot and it reveals itself for a seed.

Bokoblin lookout chest

Near the end of the route, a wooden Bokoblin lookout stands on the grass with a cave behind it. The chest on the platform inside the lookout holds a Silver Rupee, worth 100 rupees.

Master of the Wind: Shai Yota Shrine at Horon Lagoon

Cross Brynna Plain and walk to Horon Lagoon, where the Rito minstrel Kass is playing. Listen to his song to start the Master of the Wind shrine quest: the lyrics speak of cloth and wood wings carrying someone to an altar, which is a hint to glide across the lagoon. Bring bombs, the Paraglider and Cryonis; the full solution is on the Shai Yota Shrine page.

Bomb the rocks that block the wind

Glide away from Kass over the lagoon and land on the first rock outcrop. Open the Remote Bomb rune, place a bomb against each breakable boulder that sits in the airflow and detonate it. Use the glider and Cryonis blocks to hop between the rocks, and keep an eye out for Razorclaw and Ironshell crabs, a Mighty Porgy and a Bomb Arrow pickup along the shore as you go. Clearing the boulders completes the first task of the quest.

Korok Seed

Korok seed on the rock above the water

One of the big rocks in the lagoon has a pile of loose stones scattered on its face above a waterfall. Climb it, carry the stones across the rock face and set them back into the ring marked near the top. When the ring is complete the Korok appears over the water and gives you a seed.

Glide to the platform

Climb to the highest point of the rocks in the middle of the lagoon and jump off toward the glowing platform with the Paraglider open. The wind you freed carries you all the way across without touching the water, which completes the second task. Landing on the platform makes Shai Yota Shrine rise out of the lagoon.

Great Flameblade

Shai Yota Shrine: Great Flameblade and Spirit Orb

Shai Yota’s Blessing is a blessing shrine with no puzzle. Walk to the monk, open the chest on the way for a Great Flameblade, and take the Spirit Orb from Monk Shai Yota.

Korok Seeds, Hinox and Lynel on the Lodrum and Talus Coast

Heading away from the lagoon after dark, climb the rock face to a ledge strewn with loose stones. Lift stones off the pile and carry them aside. A Korok pops out of the rubble with a seed.

Further along, a Magnesis puzzle awaits in the grass at night while skeleton enemies roam nearby. Use the rune to lift the metal crate lying on the ground and raise it into the air; a Korok then appears on the hillside next to it.

On the next hilltop, a boulder sits on a patch of bare rock. Lift the stone and carry it off the spot; the Korok that was hiding beneath it gives you a seed.

Cooking at Tarm Point and Lodrum Headland

On the coast near Lodrum Headland and Tarm Point, pick up Silent Princess and fight off a few Bokoblins; their fangs, horns and guts drop as materials. At a campfire, cook Hearty Mushroom Skewers and Tough Mushroom Skewers. The Tough Mushroom Skewer gives a Defense Up boost that comes in handy for the two big fights that follow.

Hinox on Talus Plateau

Down on Talus Plateau a Hinox stands guard in a sandy clearing. Run in close, hit its legs with the Great Flameblade and aim for its eye. When it goes down, pick up the weapons and materials it leaves behind.

Korok Seed

Korok seed in the rock-arch cave

Further along the plateau, a natural rock arch opens into a shallow cave. Switch to a bow and fire arrows into the cave from the grass in front of it; the Korok hiding inside reveals itself and gives up a seed.

Korok seed on the seaside ridge and a Ruby

Follow the coast to a grassy ridge overlooking the sea. A single flower stands on the far hilltop; run to it, then glide down onto the seaside rock for the Korok and its seed. A little further along, a Ruby sits on the cliff side.

Lynel

Lynel on the grassy plain

A Lynel patrols the grassy plain beside a line of ancient pillars. Eat a Tough Mushroom Skewer first, then keep moving: dodge its swings and use a Flurry Rush when it slips up. When it falls, it drops a Lynel Hoof, a Lynel Horn and Shock Arrows. See the Lynel guide for general tactics.

Gold Rupees in the ruined ring

Walk up to the ruined stone ring on the hillside nearby, past the fallen pillar. Two chests sit inside it, and each one pays out a Gold Rupee worth 300 rupees.

Korok Seed

Two Korok seeds on the island

Glide across the bay to the rocky island with the sea stack. A flower sits on top of the sea stack; climb or glide to the top and the first Korok appears. On the same island, carry a loose rock to the broken ring of stones on the slope, and a second Korok appears with another seed.

Offshore Chests, Stasis Korok Seed and Return to Zora’s Domain

A Zora Spear turns up along this stretch of shore. Out in the bay, use Cryonis to build a path of ice blocks across the water to a chest on an offshore rock; the chest holds a Giant Boomerang. If your weapon slots are full, drop a spare weapon to make room.

Further along, a round stone slab sits on the hillside. Lock it with Stasis, hit it to build up force, and let it go; solving this Stasis puzzle gives you the Korok and its seed.

At night, a monster camp with a campfire in the middle sits on the trail; fight the guards before you loot the area.

Finish by opening the map and warping to Ne’ez Yohma Shrine at Zora’s Domain. Stay at the inn there to pass the night.

Frog Catching: Give Tumbo Five Hot-Footed Frogs

Inside Zora’s Domain, speak to Tumbo, the young Zora near the pools. He is catching frogs to earn money while his mother is away, and he wants five Hot-Footed Frogs, which are easiest to find on rainy days. Hand them over and he rewards you with an Armoranth, completing Frog Catching.

Selling spare materials

Stop at Cleff’s shop in the domain to sell spare materials, including gems, for rupees. Another Zora here asks for ten Luminous Stones in exchange for Diamonds; that is Luminous Stone Gathering.

Hateno Village: buy Endura Shrooms

Open the map and warp to Myahm Agana Shrine near Hateno. Walk into Hateno Village and visit Pruce’s shop, East Wind, to buy Endura Shrooms; Pruce sells them at 24 rupees each, and two cost 48.

Hinox

The Giant of Ralis Pond

Travel back north to Ralis Pond, where a Hinox lumbers around the water. Beat it with arrows to the eye and weapons on the downed body; when it dies, loot what it leaves behind. Return to Torfeau in Zora’s Domain to finish The Giant of Ralis Pond.

Zora Stone Monuments: History of the Zora Locations

Speak to Jiahto in Zora’s Domain, who explains the Zora Stone Monuments quest and points out a monument on the map. You need to read ten of them; monuments you have already read count automatically.

Read the monuments one after another as you loop around the domain. The first set comprises the History of the Zora tablets numbered one to five, found along the paths and waterways that lead away from the domain, with the fifth a short glide north-west of Vah Ruta. Each tablet tells a piece of the story of Mipha and the creation of the Divine Beast. The second set covers tablet six, the first addendum on Ruto Mountain and tablet seven, which hints at the Zora Helm chest.

Finish with the second addendum, which stands east of the domain by the waterfalls south of Lulu Lake, and the Memoir of a Gifted Stonemason southeast of Upland Zorana, then return to Jiahto to receive a Diamond. A Diamond sells for 500 rupees at Cleff’s shop.

Korok Seeds and Ice Arrows in Western Lanayru

Head west into the rain and look for a very tall pine on the hillside. Climb up through the branches and examine the glinting spot in its crown; a Korok jumps out for a seed.

Continue through the pine forest to a camp marked by skull torches. Defeat the guards and open the chest between the torches; it holds ten Ice Arrows.

Korok Seed

Korok seeds on the peak, over the lake and in the meadow

Climb the grassy peak. A ring of golden sparkles hovers over the summit; walk to the top and a Korok gives you a seed. From the same summit you can see all the way to Hyrule Castle.

From the peak, glide out over the lake and fly through the ring of green leaves floating above the water. The Korok appears just beyond it and hands over another seed.

Head to the big tree on the hill, climb it and jump out with the glider toward the meadow beside the creek. Run into the ring of golden sparkles hovering over the bank by the stream to meet one more Korok.

Sheh Rata Shrine: Speed of Light Trial

Swim across to the bramble-covered islet in the swamp west of Lanayru Tower. Burn away the brambles with a flame weapon or a fire arrow, then walk in. The trial is called Speed of Light, and the full solution is on the Sheh Rata Shrine page.

Opal

Opal chest and the water puzzle

Just inside, drop to the lower platform to the right of the entrance to open a chest containing an Opal. Then use the lever to swing the laser: the beam hitting the far-wall switch raises the water, and keeping it off drains the pool. Use Cryonis blocks to stand next to the crystal switch, leave a Remote Bomb by the crystal, drain the pool and drop the metal barrel onto the pressure plate to open the monk’s door.

In the final chamber, detonate the Remote Bomb to hit the crystal and raise the water again. Build an ice platform beside the chest to reach it and take the Giant Boomerang, then speak to Monk Sheh Rata for the Spirit Orb.

Thims Bridge to Moor Garrison Ruins: Korok Seeds and Chests in the Lanayru Wetlands

Korok Seed

Thims Bridge and the river rock seed

Cross the long plank span of Thims Bridge (show on map). Just past it, a Korok is hiding at a ring of rocks standing in the river (seed (show on map)). A loose rock lies on the broken dock beside it: pick it up, then use Cryonis to freeze a short line of ice blocks out over the water and carry the rock along them. Set it down in the gap in the rock ring and the Korok pops up with a Korok seed.

Korok Seed

Hillside tree seed

On the grassy hillside beyond, look for a lone tree. Climb it and shoot the nest-like object sitting in the fork of its crown with an arrow; a Korok then appears and pays out another seed.

Chest on the wooden lookout

Farther along, a tall wooden scaffold with a ladder stands above a slope. Climb it to the platform at the top, where a couple of Chuchus are loitering around a nest of planks. Beat them and open the chest for a Purple Rupee (50 rupees).

Korok Seed

Rock-ring Korok seeds in the pine woods, birch grove and ruined hall

In the pine woods further on, a clearing holds a circle of small stones with one stone missing. Lift the loose rock lying nearby, carry it into the circle and drop it into the gap to call out a Korok seed.

Two more seeds in this stretch use exactly the same trick. In a grove of white birch trees, pick up the loose rock lying among the trunks and carry it a few steps to the ring of stones, then drop it in the gap. A little way on, in a ruined stone hall with an archway, a ring of small stones surrounds a low slab on the floor. Carry a rock in through the arch and set it down in the gap and the Korok appears on top of the slab.

Ice Arrow

Ice Arrows on a stone pillar

Near Moor Garrison Ruins, a tall stone pillar rises from the lake. Climb it to reach a chest on the flat top, which holds a bundle of five Ice Arrows. Glide from the top back to the shore and head for the ruins, where smoke is rising.

Moor Garrison Ruins

You reach Moor Garrison Ruins (show on map) by climbing its broken walls. A group of Bokoblins is camped in the walled courtyard inside, and a chest sits against the wall. Defeat the Bokoblins, then open the chest.

Sasan

Rainy camp chest and Sasan on Mercay Island

Further on, a storm rolls in. Follow the lake shore to a Bokoblin camp with a campfire under a rocky overhang. Clear it out; the camp’s chest holds a Gold Rupee, worth 300 rupees.

Continue to Mercay Island (show on map) and the small camp under a tarp, where a young Hylian named Sasan is sheltering. He tells you he was heading for Zora’s Domain until a love letter caught his eye in this inlet. He is the goal of the side quest Special Delivery, which starts with the Zora girl Finley at the Bank of Wishes and pays a Gold Rupee when you bring the pair together at Zora’s Domain.

Lizalfos

Lizalfos dock camp

Beyond Sasan, a camp of wooden docks decorated with bones stretches over the water, and a few Lizalfos patrol it. Fight your way across the docks and use Cryonis to raise ice blocks where the planks have collapsed. A chest sits among the broken planks; open it before you move on.

Korok seeds and a chest in the night marsh

Out on the grassland at night, find a big tree beside the path with an object dangling from one of its branches. Shoot it with an arrow and a Korok appears nearby.

A metal chest sits in the flooded ground close by. Aim Magnesis at it, pull it free of the water and open it for a Purple Rupee.

Later, out on the rain-soaked flats, head for the faint sparkle on the ground; it leads to a Korok hiding in the grass and another seed.

Korok Seed

Old well Korok seed

Further on, a few Lizalfos attack; beat them, then go to a ruined wooden shed with an old stone well beside it. Use Magnesis on the metal object next to the well and move it; the Korok then shows itself and hands over a seed.

Guardian Stalker on the plain

A Guardian Stalker roams the open grassland in the daylight. Beating it yields Ancient Screws, an Ancient Spring and an Ancient Gear, materials you can use for Ancient arrows or hand to Purah later (see Slated for Upgrades).

Korok Seed

Korok seed on a rock in the gorge

Later, climb the big tree that leans against the cliff above a river gorge and glide down to the rocky outcrop in the water. Put on Zora armor for faster swimming, then swim to the boulder where a Korok sits, and talk to it for a seed.

Apple tree, marsh grass and Stasis boulder seeds

Back on the wet plain, a lone tree is hung with apples. Shoot an apple with an arrow, and the Korok sitting in the grass nearby then reveals itself.

Further on, in the tall grass and reeds of the marsh, another Korok is simply hiding in the grass; spot the pinwheel, walk up to it and take the seed.

In the open grass, a boulder is jammed between two larger rocks. Use Stasis on it and hit it with a heavy weapon to launch it clear; a Korok is waiting underneath.

Tye

Tye and Sorelia, and radishes in the woods

Near the road you meet two travelers, Tye and Sorelia, who need help with the monsters around them; step in and one of them cries out that they are saved. Then cut through the woods towards Wetland Stable, picking up apples, Hearty Radishes and other plants on the way.

Wetland Stable: Pikango and Kass

You arrive at Wetland Stable (show on map). Talk to the artist Pikango outside, who recognizes you as the person who found the Great Fairy Fountain. Then talk to Yolero and Ami by the cooking pot next to the stable.

Near the stable, Kass is playing his accordion. Listen to him and he performs the next verse of the legend of Ganon‘s defeat, 10,000 years ago, and the Divine Beasts and Champions.

Kaya Wan Shrine: Shields from Water Cryonis Trial

After Kass‘s song, run to the hill just north of Wetland Stable to enter Kaya Wan Shrine (show on map), a flooded Cryonis trial called Shields from Water.

Inside, you build ice blocks on the water to make a bridge to a waterfall, then climb a block jutting out of the falls. Shoot the Guardian Scouts from the cover of an ice block; a chest floating on the water to the right holds an Ancient Core. Raise a block beneath a gate near the end for the Knight’s Broadsword (tier set by difficulty scaling), then reach the monk Kaya Wan for the Spirit Orb.

Wetland Stable, Riverbed Reward and the Flooded Zora’s Domain Chests

Beedle

Wetland Stable shop and Beedle

Take a moment inside Wetland Stable to shop at the stalls. Beedle buys and sells here, which is a good place to sell spare monster parts and to stock up on food and arrows.

Riverbed Reward: pull the chest from the river

Walk down to the riverbank beside the stable, where Izra stands next to a broken wagon. He thinks a chest has sunk to the riverbed. Use Magnesis to haul it out, open it, and talk to Izra again to finish Riverbed Reward.

Chest on a stone pillar near Rebonae Bridge

Close to the river, climb a tall stone pillar to a small platform with a chest on top, then glide down from it when you are done.

Cross Rebonae Bridge (show on map). A traveler, Leekah, is resting on the planks. On the cliff edge beside the river, a Korok is waiting on a grassy ledge (seed (show on map)); step up to it for another seed.

Zora’s Domain

Back at Wetland Stable, open the map and fast travel to Ne’ez Yohma Shrine, the closest point to Zora’s Domain (show on map). The whole domain is flooded, and a Zora guard at the entrance tells you all is as it should be.

Swim around the pillars and use Cryonis ice blocks to climb onto the ledges. Chests sit on rocks and under the water: build a block beneath each one and use Magnesis to pull the ones that are out of reach. One chest holds Amber, and a Silver Bow turns up in the shallows.

Slated for Upgrades, Koko’s Cooking Quests and Flown the Coop

Stasis

Stasis+ at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab

Fast travel to the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab and show Purah your Sheikah Slate with three Ancient Cores. She upgrades your Stasis rune and completes Slated for Upgrades.

Koko’s cooking quests in Kakariko Village

Head to Kakariko Village (show on map), where Koko stands at her cooking pot. Give her Goat Butter to finish Cooking with Koko for a Hot Buttered Apple; then give her Raw Meat for Koko Cuisine, which earns a Tough Meat-Stuffed Pumpkin; finally hand her Courser Bee Honey for Koko’s Specialty, which earns an Energizing Honeyed Apple.

Koko’s pot is also free to use: cook skewers, fried greens, simmered fruit, fried egg and rice and meaty rice balls with the food you carry, and the dishes get logged in your recipe list.

Cucco

Flown the Coop: round up Cado’s Cuccos

Talk to Cado at the pen on the north side of the village. Seven of his ten Cuccos have escaped; catch them all around Kakariko, including the one in the plum garden, which you can only take at night. Bring each back to the pen to finish Flown the Coop for a Purple Rupee.

Hateno Tower Ravines, Korok Seeds and the Hickaly Woods Stalnox

Hateno Tower and the ravine caves

Fast travel to Hateno Tower and glide off its rim into the wooded gorge below. Dark caves here hold Luminous Stones, Keese and a few Bokoblins.

Korok Seed

Korok seeds in the ravine

At the bottom, a Korok sits at the edge of a dark pool. Swim to the pool and find it for a seed. The water also gives up Amber, Rock Salt and a Sneaky River Snail.

Further along, a Bokoblin camp of crates and a campfire hides a chest. Then, in the trees, look for an object hanging in a tree crown. Shoot it with an arrow and a Korok appears for another seed.

Climb the rocks to a turquoise pond ringed by lily pads. Swim into the middle of the ring of lily pads and the Korok shows up in the water with a seed.

Stalnox

Stalnox at Hickaly Woods

Fast travel to Ha Dahamar Shrine, pick up your horse Athena at the stable and ride out at night to Hickaly Woods (show on map).

The Stalnox rises from a pile of bones. Wait until it rises, then shoot or strike its eye and burn it with fire; it keeps rebuilding until the eye is destroyed. When it falls, take the Hinox Tooth it leaves behind.
