How to find it
Look beneath the Digdogg Suspension Bridge on the south-western edge of Central Hyrule, just north of the road into the Gerudo Desert and west of the Great Plateau.
Solution
Dodge the charges
The Guardian Scout scuttles around, then lunges with its spear. Sidestep and counter. When it jumps back and extends itself, get behind a pillar: it spins its spear and charges, and hitting the pillar stuns it.
Shoot it from the updraft
At about half health it fires a laser in wide circles, producing an updraft. Jump in, paraglide up, and use bow slow-motion to hit its eye. If you miss, the beam will catch you on landing.
Survive the final blasts
Its last phase turns it blue and stationary while it gathers energy for three or four quick blasts. Pillars and eye shots do not help; sprint or circle around it and dodge, then attack up close or at range.
Take the loot
Defeating it opens the door. Pick up the Guardian Spear it drops, open the chest in the next room for an Ancient Core and speak to Monk Dah Kaso for the Spirit Orb.
