Hunt for the Giant Horse

Straia at the Mounted Archery Camp has heard rumours of an enormous horse roaming Taobab Grassland, west of Lake Hylia. Mount and calm the Giant Horse, then ride it back to the camp.

Take the quest

Speak to Straia at the Mounted Archery Camp, at the end of the road running west from Highland Stable. He points you toward Taobab Grassland.

Find the horse

Travel to Taobab Grassland. Among the ordinary horses stands one far larger, black with an orange-brown mane and green eyes. That is your target. Two strong Lynels roam to the south near Oseira Plains, so keep your distance from them.

Mount it

Approach the Giant Horse and mount it. It takes a great deal of stamina to mount, so come with a full set of wheels and a Stamina Elixir or two. Dropping apples in front of it speeds up the taming and builds your bond, which makes the long ride back easier.

Return to Straia

Ride back to the Mounted Archery Camp and speak to Straia again to finish. You can register the horse at Highland Stable, east along the road.
