The Statue’s Bargain

A boy named Teebo leads you to a demon statue in Hateno Village. It takes one of your Heart Containers or Stamina Vessels for 100 rupees, and buying one back for 120 rupees completes the quest and lets you swap them later.

Solution

Follow Teebo

Enter Hateno Village and talk to Teebo, who excitedly asks you to follow him. He leads you to a statue of a demon on the path to Firly Pond.

Pray to the statue

Praying makes the statue take a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel and leave 100 rupees. Speak to it again and it offers the container back for 120 rupees. You choose whether you get a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel.

Complete the quest

Pay the 120 rupees and choose the container you want to complete the quest. From then on the statue sells and buys containers so you can reshape hearts and stamina.

  • Swapping between hearts and stamina pays you 100 rupees when you hand one in and costs 120 rupees to take one back.
