A Business Scrub has set up a smoothie stand in the snow on Hebra Mountain, hoping to sell twisted-pumpkin smoothies, but he hasn’t found a single pumpkin. Give him one Twisted Pumpkin and the quest is over in a single conversation. It’s quick, it pays 10 Warm Peppers, and it opens the only Smoothie Shop on Hebra Mountain, where you can blend Chill-Proof drinks right where you need them.
How to Start
After you wake Condé by the braziers, he leads you to a broken bridge on the way to Condé’s House and offers to carry you across (“Want to get there? Fast?”). Answer “No, thanks.” for now and explore the snowfield first. It is dotted with braziers, snowmen and monsters, so carry a Brazier echo with Bind (Release/Follow) to keep warm if you have no Chill-Proof smoothie. Follow the edge of the big dark rift and squeeze through a narrow gap between two rock walls. Beyond it is a small green nook hidden behind the rift, where a Business Scrub stands at his stall muttering “Twist…pum…”. Step onto the Waypoint on the grass beside his stand (“You can now warp here using the map.”), then talk to him.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Hear out the Business Scrub
He’s shivering: “Brrr… If not for that warming smoothie, I’d be freezing my leaves off…” He came to Hebra Mountain because he heard it had twisted pumpkins, but it’s just snow, more snow, and those funny-looking snowmen. He was hoping to reel in customers with tasty twisted-pumpkin smoothies and wonders aloud, “Oh, my dear twisted pumpkin… Where are you hiding?” The side quest Getting It Twisted begins.
Step 2: Hand over a Twisted Pumpkin
He then says he needs to get his hands on a twisted pumpkin soon, with two answers to pick from. Choose “Here you go!” to give him one; “I’ll look around.” leaves the quest open so you can come back later. He can barely speak (“That’s a twist…p-p-pum…”): he’s never seen one in person before and gushes over its pretty, swirling shape and shiny, waxy skin. If you don’t have a pumpkin yet, Dampé gives you 5 on your first visit to his studio in Automaton Engineer Dampé, a chest in Eldin Temple holds 8, and the pots in the small ice room at the top of the Hebra Mountain Passage hide one (see Twisted Pumpkin).
Reward
“I’m good and keyed up now. I’m going to open up shop right away!” He hands you a thank-you: “You got 10 warm peppers!” and the Side Quest Complete banner appears. The Warm Pepper is the key cold-resistance ingredient: used in a drink, it grants resistance to cold. From now on, talking to him opens the Smoothie Shop (“Smoothie, please!”, “I’d like to sell.”, “Let’s chat.”). Each blend costs 10 rupees plus the two ingredients; Warm Pepper + Twisted Pumpkin, for example, makes a Warm Mixed Smoothie with 1:00 of Chill-Proof plus some Energy Recovery (“You got a warm mixed smoothie!”). See Smoothies for every recipe.
Tips
- Touch the Waypoint beside the stand even if you have no pumpkin yet. You can warp straight back to finish the quest, and later to restock Chill-Proof smoothies for the rest of the climb.
- Hebra Mountain has no shops and this is its only smoothie stand, so it’s worth opening early. Carry a few Warm Peppers into the cold areas higher up.
- This same scrub later upgrades your Survey Scope into the Survey Binoculars for Recipes, Please!, so bring your recipe count up before you come back.
- Just past the stand, in the snowy woods, there’s a Might Crystal to pick up (see Might Crystals).
