Camps are healing and supply stops that you set up on captured outposts during a battle, and the Bonus Exchange and the Tusk & Talon shop work from inside them. Between battles you shop at Supply Depots and upgrade gear at the Weapons Research Base. This page explains each place, what it sells or does, and the quest or battle that opens it.

Camps
Setting up a camp
Capture a special outpost on the battlefield. Not every outpost can hold a camp, so look for the ones that can. The first camp is set up in Where Ancient Wisdom Sleeps: a “Set Up Camp” prompt appears at a camp spot, and “Camp available!” shows once an area is secured. Once you have captured an outpost with a camp, the Balloon can carry you to it from anywhere.

What camps restore
Entering a camp restores your hearts and replenishes your Special Rations and Batteries; how much comes back depends on the difficulty, and the earliest camps are free.

Camp supplies and effects
At a camp you can supply materials to power Camp Effects that last for that battle only. Supplying opens with the first camp of Chapter 2 (Raging Sands), and effects from duplicate camps do not stack. There are three kinds of effect, and each has 10 units that supplied materials fill, which makes it stronger.

| Type | Effects |
|---|---|
| Combat | Special-Attack Charge Rate, Zonai-Device Damage, Sync-Gauge Charge Rate |
| Support | Recover Hearts Every 100 Seconds, EXP, Chance of Extra Material in Material Drops |
| Special | Unique Skill Cooldown Time, Damage from Enemies, Movement Speed |
You begin with only a few of these effects. The rest unlock by completing Aside Quests for the matching warrior, and each Aside Quest asks for one or more specific materials, such as Mighty Thistles, Amber or Muddle Bud.

Camp quests
Six quests improve camps. “The Importance of Fire” lets you camp before a battle starts. “Cheer Up!” and “A Forest Festival” each add 5 supply slots. “The Secret to Camp Supplies” lets some supplied materials strengthen others. “My Prized Treasures!” and “Breaking into a New Market” open the Tusk & Talon, covered below. Find them in the quest list.

Special Rations and Batteries
Sonia gives you your first Special Ration after you defeat Typhan in The Art of the Blade. You can carry 3. The quest “A Flying Korok!” adds 1 (it costs 3 Korok Seeds and opens after Terror of the Sands) and “A Fighting Korok!” adds 2 (3 Korok Seeds, after the main story), giving 6 in total. “Flavor Enhancement” makes each ration heal more. Batteries start at 3 and rise to 4 with “A Wandering Korok!”.

Bonus Exchange
Unlocking the Bonus Exchange
The Bonus Exchange opens during Lanayru Defiled in Chapter 3, when you first enter a camp in that battle. A Steward Construct runs it at your camps.

Tusk & Talon
Unlocking the Tusk & Talon
Finish the quest “My Prized Treasures!” and the merchant Tafton starts visiting your camps with his Tusk & Talon shop, selling special wares for Poe. Finish “Breaking into a New Market” and he also turns up at Supply Depots between battles.

What it sells
The shop sells monster parts and some rare materials for Poe, the spirit currency dropped by Shades and by Constructs possessed by them, which are most common in the Depths. It also stocks materials you have assigned to the Material Sensor, though a particular item is never guaranteed. One example ware is Monster Extract, which costs 5 Poe.

Material Sensor
The quest “A Brand-New Feature!”, available after The Howling Tempests, unlocks the sensor. “Time for an Upgrade!” (after Terror of the Sands) adds 2 tracked items, “No Time to Rest” (after The Battle of Hyrule Castle) adds 3, and “By Her Own Hand” (after the main story) adds 2. Each tracker caps at 10 items for materials and for quests.
Supply Depots
Unlocking the depots
Supply Depots open from Chapter 3 and sell materials for Rupees. Their stock refreshes after each battle, so check back after you finish one.
| Depot | How it opens | Sells (stock, price) |
|---|---|---|
| Kopeeki | Quest “Urgent Supplies” (Hebra) | Chillshroom (10, 32), Winterwing Butterfly (5, 20), Tabantha Wheat (5, 24), |
| Lanayru | Quest “Too Nervous to Serve” | Goat Butter, |
| Goronbi Lake | Quest “Sweltering Soldiers” | |
| Gerudo | Quest “The Source of Strength” | Muddle Bud (10, 80), |
| Firly | Quest “A Use for Bomb Flowers” |
Every price is in Rupees and the first number in brackets is how many you can buy per restock. Sell unsealed Zonaite Steel at the Weapons Research Base for 100 Rupees each, and expect roughly 150 to 300 Rupees from replaying a challenge.

Weapons Research Base
Weapons Research Base
The quest “Enhancing Our Weapons” in Chapter 1 opens the base, where Smithing Constructs enhance weapons with Zonaite Steel, add and remove seals, and buy your spare steel. Full details are on the weapons page.

Tanagar Meditation Hall
The Tanagar Meditation Hall, a remote corner of Tanagar Canyon for training, opens when you finish the quest “In Search of a Quiet Mind”. The Sky Island Sparring Circle, from the quest “To the Skies, Once More”, lets you train with two allies at once for shared sync strikes, swapping characters or weapons at any time.
