Starts inDeath Caldera, at Momosik Shrine (2960, 2758, 537)
RequirementsHeat protection (Flamebreaker armor or fireproof food), Bomb Flower arrows, Ice Fruit or Ice Chuchu arrows, a fan and a cart
RewardEntry to Momosik Shrine: Light of Blessing and a Big Battery

The sealed Momosik Shrine on the north-east side of Death Caldera asks for a crystal. Follow the green beam to the Death Mountain East Tunnel, defeat the Igneo Talus guarding the crystal and carry it back to the shrine to open it.

Walkthrough

Follow the beam into the East Tunnel

Examine the shrine’s runes; a beam of green light leads away across the caldera. Follow it around the mountain to the broken rocks that seal the Death Mountain East Tunnel, break through (a Bomb Flower arrow or Yunobo’s ability works), and go on to the chamber at the end of the mine tracks. Defeat the creature on the ceiling as you enter, then build a cart with a Fan on the front, set it on the rails and switch the fan on to ride across the lava.

Defeat the Igneo Talus

The crystal sits inside an Igneo Talus. Cool it with ice arrows or Ice Fruit, climb it and strike the crystal on top; re-cool it if it heats back up. When it falls apart the crystal drops to the floor.

Load the crystal onto a cart

Pick the crystal up with Ultrahand and fix it to a mine cart with a fan, then ride the rails back out of the tunnel. The crystal works as a beacon, shining its beam toward the shrine.

Offer it at Momosik Shrine

Carry the crystal to the shrine and place it on the ring. The crystal opens the Shrine of Light. The shrine has no puzzle: open the chest for a Big Battery and take the Light of Blessing at the end, and the Kisomom Lightroot opens below.

Rewards

  • Light of Blessing from Momosik Shrine
  • Big Battery from the chest

Tips

  • Do not let the crystal fall in lava; keep it on the cart or in your hands.
  • Fuse the Igneo Talus Heart it drops to a weapon if you want it, and keep the fan with the cart for the ride back out.
  • The Talus heats back up as time passes; hit it with Ice Fruit or Ice Chuchu arrows again whenever it glows.
