Makurukis Shrine (Combat Training: Archery)

Makurukis Shrine is a bow test on Hyrule Ridge, above Tabantha Bridge Stable. Pick up the Construct Bow inside and shoot each Construct in the head: arrows to the body do nothing. The reward chest holds a Strong Construct Bow.

How to find Makurukis Shrine

Head to Tabantha Bridge Stable on Hyrule Ridge and climb the higher ground above it. The shrine is a round boulder with two carved stone fins either side of the door, standing on a grassy shelf with a blue platform on the path in front. It is easy to spot from the cliff edge above, or glide down onto it. Step onto the platform to go in.

Makurukis Shrine solution

Take the bow and arrows

At the bottom of the entry stairs a Construct Bow and a few bundles of arrows lie on the floor to the left. Pick them up and equip the bow; other weapons deal no damage in this trial, so you cannot skip the archery.

Headshot every Construct

A Construct stands on a floor pad across the arena. Draw the bow and hit the cluster of red lights on its head; hits anywhere else do nothing. Once it falls, two more rise and advance, firing arrows and swinging a sword at close range. Use the stone pillars for cover, back away to keep your distance, and shoot each in the head when it holds still for a moment. If aim is a problem, hold the bow and press up on the D-pad to attach a Keese Eyeball for a homing shot.

Collect the drops and go through the gate

Pick up any weapons the Constructs dropped, then enter the gate that has lifted at the end of the arena. The chest stands in the room beyond.

Makurukis Shrine chest

Open the chest in the room past the arena for a Strong Construct Bow, a sturdy bow with Attack Up. If your bow slots are full you must drop one first.

Light of Blessing

Walk to the glowing terminal in the stone ring at the end of the shrine and examine it to receive a Light of Blessing.

Tips

Stop moving before you aim: Constructs pause between attacks and that is your window for a headshot.
Any bow from your inventory works, so bring your own with plenty of arrows if you prefer.
A Korok rock-pattern puzzle sits on Hyrule Ridge nearby, so look around before leaving.
