Sifumim Shrine (Proving Grounds: Flow)

Sifumim Shrine is a Proving Grounds trial in a flooded hall. Your gear is taken at the door, so you fight Constructs with weapons found in the room, crossing the water on platforms and a raft you build with Ultrahand. Defeating every Construct opens the exit; the chest holds a Captain Reaper and the terminal gives a Light of Blessing.

How to find it

The shrine is at map coordinates 2825, -3270 (height 91), on a cliff north-west of Lurelin Village in East Necluda, about 158 map units from Lurelin Village Well. Climb the slope above the village to the entrance, or launch from Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower and glide south-east.

Solution

Arm yourself and use cover

Your gear is removed at the door. Pick up the gear on the rack in the starting room (an Old Wooden Shield, a Wooden Stick (or Sturdy Wooden Stick or Gnarled Wooden Stick, depending on your progress) and a Long Stick); you start with no bow. Stay behind the stacked wooden crates while you look over the flooded hall, so the archer Constructs do not spot you.

Cross the water on the platforms and raft

Step onto the wooden platforms beside the pillars to cross the water; swimming is slow and makes noise. Wait for a platform with no Construct on it to float past, or use Ultrahand on the rafts and boards lying around to move yourself across. Beware of the bomb barrel on one raft: if it explodes the raft breaks.

Fuse bigger weapons

Fuse materials you collect to your weapon: the stone barrels on the ledge, and the Spiked Iron Ball, Ice Fruit and bomb barrels on the central platform all make a stick hit much harder. Take a bow from the first Construct you defeat and shoot the rest from cover. Defeat the Constructs one at a time rather than together.

Defeat the Constructs

Defeat every Construct on the floating platforms. Knocking one off a platform into the water defeats it instantly, which is the safest way to deal with the large Soldier Construct on the central platform. The enemies are Soldier Constructs and a Captain Construct. When the last falls, your gear is returned and the exit stairs open.

Open the chest and take the Light of Blessing

Climb the stairs to the altar room and open the chest for a Captain Reaper (guides written early list it as Captain II; it scales up to Captain IV as you progress). Then examine the terminal to receive the Light of Blessing.

The Lightroot below

Directly under this shrine, in the Depths, is the Mimufis Lightroot. Light it from below to reveal that part of the Depths map.
