Tukarok Shrine (Forward Force)

Tukarok Shrine is a Big Wheel puzzle: get a rune-marked ball across a lava pool on a wheeled cart, use a wheel and plank to drive it up an incline, then float it over a water channel on a paddle raft. The Strong Zonaite Sword chest is in the water room and needs one extra step.

How to find Tukarok Shrine

Ride out from Wetland Stable into the woods beside it, following the shrine’s green light. The way winds along a grey stone path between tall trees, past a small Bokoblin lookout with a crate you can smash for arrows. Touch the shrine stone at the end of the path and step onto the blue platform to enter.

Tukarok Shrine solution

Cross the lava on the cart

Go down the stairs to the first room, where the ball sits on a four-wheeled cart beside a pool of lava. Make sure the ball is attached to the cart, climb on, and hit one of the green-arrowed Big Wheels. The cart rolls straight across the lava to the stairs on the far side.

Drive the ball up the incline

Take the ball off the cart and set it on the block that rides the rail beside the fenced staircase. Fix a Big Wheel to the side of the block and attach a long plank across the wheel as a propeller. Hit the wheel: the spinning plank pushes against the fence slats and carries the block and ball up toward the top.

Free the ball

Climb the ladder beside the fence to the upper floor, then grab the ball and detach it from the block. Carry it along the corridor into the water room.

Build the paddle raft

Beside the water lie log rafts, planks and two Big Wheels. Attach the ball to the middle of a raft, fix a Big Wheel to each side, and add a plank to each wheel as a paddle. Push the raft into the water, climb on and hit a wheel to cross the channel.

Reach the chest, then finish

Before you leave, lift the metal mesh panel standing in the water aside with Ultrahand and open the chest on the landing behind it (see chest below). Then bring the raft with the ball to the bank by the stone lamp. If you end up on the wrong side of the water, Ascend through the overhanging floor next to the lamp and glide down to it.

Seat the ball

Carry the ball through the doorway and lower it into the round socket in the floor. Green rings spread out and the door to the altar opens.

Tukarok Shrine chest

Strong Zonaite Sword: in the water room, a small stone landing at the end of a water lane sits behind a metal mesh panel. Grab the panel with Ultrahand and move it aside, step onto the landing and open the chest. If your melee slots are full, drop a weapon first.

Light of Blessing

Walk through the opened door, climb the steps and examine the green seal to collect the Light of Blessing. Directly below in the Depths is Korakut Lightroot.

Tips

The cart moves as soon as you hit a wheel, so line yourself up on it first.
Hitting a Big Wheel wears down your weapon, so use one you do not mind losing.
If you would rather skip the raft, carry the ball up the ladder and across the upper ledge to the far side instead.
Do not leave the water room without moving the mesh panel; the chest is easy to miss.
