Glory of the Zora

Quest typeSide quest
GiverDento
Starts inZora’s Domain (Dento’s forge)
RequirementsZora Spear x1 (a decayed one is fine), Diamond x3, Flint x5; the Water Temple finished as part of Sidon of the Zora
RewardLightscale Trident (Dento forges it again if it breaks)

Glory of the Zora is a crafting errand: bring the blacksmith Dento in Zora’s Domain one Zora Spear, three Diamonds and five Flint and he forges the Lightscale Trident, the weapon the Zora have carried for generations. A decayed Zora Spear is accepted, so the weakest one you can find will do.

How to start Glory of the Zora

Finish the Water Temple (the story quest Sidon of the Zora) so the sludge is gone from Zora’s Domain, then go into Marot Mart and walk through to the workshop in the back, where Dento works. Talk to him; he explains what he needs and the quest appears in your log.

Glory of the Zora walkthrough

Talk to Dento at the forge

Find Dento at the forge in Zora’s Domain and talk to him. He wants a Zora Spear, three Diamonds and five pieces of Flint, and he reassures you that a decayed spear will work. Nothing is handed over yet; he waits for you to return with the materials.

Collect the spear, Diamonds and Flint

The Zora Spear is the awkward part. A Lizalfos west of Ralis Pond carries one, and chests in Zora-region caves such as Upland Zorana Foothill Cave (about (3147, 667, 177)) can hold a Zora Spear too; Like Likes in those caves sometimes carry one, you may already own one from the Mired in Muck side quest near Upland Zorana Skyview Tower, and scanning a Mipha amiibo also gives one. Diamonds come from Rare Ore Deposits (the gold-sparkling ones), from Luminous Stone Talus and Stone Talus (Rare) enemies, from chests at the end of some Rauru’s Blessing shrines, and from merchants in Goron City, and are the slowest item to gather. Flint drops from most ore deposits, so mining a few deposits in a cave or around Eldin is enough for five.

Hand everything over for the Lightscale Trident

Return to Dento and talk to him again with the spear, three Diamonds and five Flint in your inventory. He forges the Lightscale Trident on the spot.

Rewards

  • Lightscale Trident. If it ever breaks or is lost, bring Dento the same materials (a Zora Spear, three Diamonds and five Flint) and he forges a new one. Its attack power doubles while you are wet.

Tips

Dento accepts a decayed spear, so give him the worst Zora Spear you own and keep a good one for fighting. He only forges a replacement when the trident has actually broken, not when it is simply stored or dropped.
