The medley was featured during Nintendo’s Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct. Its theme follows the Triforce’s three virtues: Wisdom, Power, and Courage. Nintendo’s video description says it brings together songs from across the series, though it doesn’t provide a track list.
That focus makes the medley a fitting celebration of a series that has changed dramatically since its 1986 debut. The Legend of Zelda has moved from the original game’s compact chiptune melodies to sweeping scores for its 3D adventures, while familiar musical ideas continue to link one era to the next.
Nintendo has also announced a 40th anniversary concert series for 2027, with performances planned in Japan, North America, Europe, and Australia. The company says the shows will draw on music from throughout the series. The new video offers a convenient way to revisit the anniversary arrangement while fans wait for the live concerts.
