Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert Tickets Go on Sale Today

Nintendo’s worldwide celebration of The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary is moving into its next phase, with tickets for the upcoming 2027 concert tour beginning to go on sale today, September 30.

Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert

The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert was announced earlier this month during Nintendo’s anniversary Direct. The tour will bring music from across the series to concert halls around the world, with Nintendo promising a mix of classic themes and more recent music from Zelda’s 40-year history.

Ticket sales officially begin from September 30, although the exact sale date and availability vary by venue.

For fans in North America, Nintendo has announced that ticket sales and presales begin at 12 p.m. local time at select venues. Chicago, Los Angeles and New York are among the cities receiving general ticket sales, while Dallas, Houston and Seattle are beginning with presale access.

The international tour itself starts in Chicago on February 22, 2027.

North American Zelda concert dates

The current North American schedule includes:

  • Chicago, Illinois: February 22 and 23, 2027 at Symphony Center
  • Boston, Massachusetts: May 29, 2027
  • Dallas, Texas: June 25, 26 and 27, 2027 at Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
  • Seattle, Washington: July 16, 17 and 18, 2027 at Benaroya Hall
  • Houston, Texas: July 23 and 24, 2027 at Jones Hall for the Performing Arts
  • Vienna, Virginia: July 30, 2027 at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap
  • Los Angeles, California: August 25, 2027 at the Hollywood Bowl
  • New York, New York: October 9 and 10, 2027 at Carnegie Hall
  • San Francisco, California: October 2027 at Davies Symphony Hall
  • Toronto, Ontario: October 21 and 22, 2027 at Roy Thomson Hall

Not every city is using the same ticket schedule.

Dallas Symphony subscribers receive access to a 24-hour presale beginning September 30 at noon. Houston’s presale also begins September 30 at noon, with general public sales scheduled for October 5 at noon. Details for Boston, Toronto and several other locations have not yet been announced.

Nintendo is directing fans to the official Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert website for the most current ticket links and availability.

Chicago kicks off the international tour

Chicago will be the first stop on the international portion of the tour, with performances scheduled for February 22 and 23 at Symphony Center.

Members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chicago Symphony Chorus will perform the concerts, with Jason Seber conducting.

The Chicago Symphony describes the program as a musical trip through four decades of Zelda history, centered on music connected to Link, Zelda, Ganondorf and the wider history of Hyrule.

That should make the 40th Anniversary Concert much broader than a celebration of any single game. Nintendo has not released a complete setlist yet, so we still do not know exactly which games will receive the most attention.

Zelda heads to the Hollywood Bowl

One of the biggest venues on the North American schedule is the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The August 25 performance will feature the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and begins at 8 p.m. The venue says the concert will include music spanning the history of The Legend of Zelda series.

The Hollywood Bowl appearance gives Nintendo’s anniversary tour a notably larger setting than many of its traditional symphony hall stops.

European tickets are already moving quickly

European sales also began September 30, and demand appears to be high.

The official Zelda concert website is already listing both Stockholm performances on June 18 and June 19 as sold out. The September 17 concert in Edinburgh is also marked sold out at the time of writing.

Glasgow, London and other European performances remain listed through their respective venues, although availability can change quickly.

The confirmed European schedule currently includes:

  • London: April 3 and 4, 2027
  • Stockholm: June 18 and 19, 2027
  • Edinburgh: September 17, 2027
  • Glasgow: September 18, 2027

Nintendo has also confirmed that additional concerts are being planned for France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Australia follows in May

The Australian leg begins in Melbourne on May 13, with four performances scheduled through May 16 at Hamer Hall.

Sydney follows later in the year with concerts at the Sydney Opera House on July 9 and 10. Two Sydney performances are scheduled for July 10, including an afternoon and evening show.

Ticket availability for Australia follows a different schedule from the September 30 North American and European rollout, so fans should check their local venue before assuming tickets are available.

The concert begins in Japan

Before the international tour reaches Chicago, the 40th Anniversary Concert will begin in Japan.

The currently announced Japanese schedule includes performances in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, Kyoto and Kanagawa beginning January 23, 2027.

Nintendo first revealed the worldwide concert series during its September 8 Zelda anniversary presentation, alongside the Ocarina of Time remake, 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and other anniversary plans.

Zelda concerts are finally returning on a global scale

For longtime fans, the new tour is also notable because large-scale official Zelda concerts have been relatively rare in recent years.

The Symphony of the Goddesses concert series toured internationally for several years during the 2010s, combining orchestral arrangements with footage from games including Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and A Link to the Past.

The 40th Anniversary Concert represents Nintendo’s biggest new worldwide Zelda concert initiative in years.

There is still plenty Nintendo has not revealed. A full program has not been announced, several cities still lack ticket-sale dates, and more European locations are on the way.

For now, anyone hoping to attend one of the first rounds of performances should probably keep a close eye on the official concert page. With Stockholm and Edinburgh already marked as sold out on September 30, some stops clearly are not going to stay available for long.

The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert tour begins January 23, 2027 in Tokyo, while the international portion starts February 22 in Chicago.
