You can raise your wallet to 1,000 rupees, your Bomb Bag to 40 bombs, your seed bag to 50 seeds and your quiver to 50 arrows. Every upgrade comes from a prize, a purchase or a Gold Skulltula reward. Most are in the child half of the game, so collect the wallets and Bomb Bag tiers before you grow up. The Biggest Quiver is the last one and needs a score of 1,400 in horseback archery as an adult. Each tier below gives its location, its cost and what you need first.

Wallets

Child’s Wallet

You start the game with the Kokiri Wallet, which holds up to 200 rupees, and the counter on the pause screen shows your rupees out of 200. Green rupees are worth 1, blue 5 and red 20, which the Kokiri in the House of the Twins sings about. Pots, grass and chests in Kokiri Forest fill the first purse quickly, and the first thing to buy there is the Deku Shield for 40.

Adult's Wallet

Adult’s Wallet

You earn the Adult’s Wallet at the House of Skulltula in Kakariko Village when you hand 10 Gold Skulltula tokens to the Cursed Rich Man. The box reads “You got an Adult’s Wallet!” and your capacity rises to 500 rupees. His freed fifth son repeats the new limit. The four tokens in the village (#7 to #10) bring you to 10, as described in Kakariko Village. Your count is on the Collection tab, and the Gold Skulltula list has every token.

Giant's Wallet

Giant’s Wallet

The Cursed Rich Man hands over the Giant’s Wallet when you reach 30 Gold Skulltula tokens, and the box reads “You got a giant’s wallet!” He says it is big enough to hold 1,000 rupees, and his restored third son confirms the new limit. He gives one reward per visit, so return after each milestone. The tokens are collected in Errands Before the Temple of Time. The Gold Rupee, worth 200 rupees, is a separate reward at 100 tokens.

Bomb Bags

Bomb Bag

The first Bomb Bag is in a chest in Dodongo Cavern, behind a cracked wall on the second floor. Shoot the eye switch in the rock face with a Deku Seed, then open the chest. The bag is made from a Dodongo’s stomach, holds 20 bombs and comes full. You need the Goron Bracelet to carry the bomb flowers in this dungeon, as the Dodongo Cavern walkthrough shows.

Bigger Bomb Bag

Bigger Bomb Bag

A rolling Goron in the tunnels of Goron City gives you the Bigger Bomb Bag. Follow the tunnels and chain-link nets to the Goron next to the wooden sign about his wild rolling. Throw a bomb at him as he comes down the passage and he stops, dazed. The box says the bag holds up to 30 bombs and refills to 30 at once. You need the Bomb Bag first. The route is in Death Mountain Summit and Crater.

Biggest Bomb Bag

Biggest Bomb Bag

The Biggest Bomb Bag is the prize for your second win at the Bombchu Bowling Alley in Hyrule Castle Town. Each play costs 10 rupees and you win Bombchus first, then the Biggest Bomb Bag on the next play and a Heart Piece on the third. The bag raises your capacity to 40 bombs. Keep at least 30 rupees for all three plays. See Bombchu Bowling for the lane.

Deku-Seed Bags

Bigger Deku-Seed Bag

Win the Bigger Deku-Seed Bag at the Shooting Gallery in Hyrule Castle Town. The operator charges 10 rupees a round, lends you 15 Deku Seeds and asks you to shoot ten targets with the Fairy Slingshot. A perfect 10 out of 10 shows CLEARED and earns the bag, which carries up to 40 seeds. If you miss, try again. The operator later offers repeat rounds that pay 20 rupees, and 30 rupees for the expert version, covered in Hyrule Castle Town.

Biggest Deku Seed Bag

Biggest Deku-Seed Bag

The Biggest Deku-Seed Bag comes from the target game in the Lost Woods. In a mossy clearing a round target hangs from a tree branch. Climb onto the stump facing it and hit every target with the Slingshot without a miss. A Deku Scrub pops out cheering “100 percent accuracy” and hands over the bag, which raises your seed capacity to 50. The target is on the path described in Lost Woods and Sacred Grove.

Quivers

Bigger Quiver

Bigger Quiver

An adult wins the Bigger Quiver at the Shooting Gallery, which has moved to Kakariko Village. Pay 30 rupees, choose “I’ll play!” and break all 10 targets with your 15 arrows, so you can afford five misses. The operator then hands over the Bigger Quiver, which holds up to 40 arrows, and mentions that an expert game offers a special prize. The stop is part of Poes, the Hall of Fallen Foes and Lake Hylia.

Biggest Quiver

Biggest Quiver

The Biggest Quiver is the top prize of horseback archery at Gerudo Fortress. Ride Epona to the red awning and talk to the Horseback-Archery Attendant. A round costs 30 rupees and gives you 20 arrows, and you score more points the closer you are to the target. A score of 750 earns a Heart Piece, and 1,400 earns the Biggest Quiver, which carries 50 arrows. A strong lap reaches 1,520 points. The route is in Mirage Desert and Evil Desert Colossus.

Deku Stick and Nut bags

Bigger Deku Stick Bag

Bigger Deku-Stick Bag

A Business Scrub in a thicket in the Lost Woods sells the Bigger Deku-Stick Bag for 40 rupees. Block its nuts with your shield and it surrenders with “Squee… Ya got me!” The bag raises your stick limit to 20. It is on the path through the woods in Lost Woods and Sacred Grove.

Bigger Deku-Nut Bag

A Business Scrub in the Lost Woods glade sells the Bigger Deku-Nut Bag for 40 rupees. Blow open the cracked boulder with a bomb, step on the save flower past it and beat the first of the two Scrubs. It says the bag lets you carry more Deku Nuts. The box reads “You got a bigger Deku-nut bag!” The route is in Errands Before the Temple of Time.

Second Deku-Nut Bag

A lone Deku Scrub beside the stump in the same glade gives a second Deku-nut bag for free. Talk to it and it begs you to spare it because of your frightening face. The bag holds up to 40 nuts, and the Scrub says you can carry a whole ton of them now. This stop comes right after the Happy Mask Shop lends you the Mask of Truth.
