Ketoh Wawai Shrine (Ketoh Wawai’s Blessing)

Ketoh Wawai is a Blessing shrine unlocked through the shrine quest Shrouded Shrine. Feel your way through the darkness of the Typhlo Ruins by lighting bird statues, take the orb from the sleeping Hinox and place it on the pedestal.

How to find it

The Typhlo Ruins sit north of the Lost Woods. Take the right fork on the road before the woods and hug the border of the Eldin mountains, climbing where needed, then glide down once the shrouded ruins appear. The entrance is on the east side, where a dim torch marks the way into the dark.

Solution

Prepare

Bring fire arrows or a fire weapon, along with food that grants extra hearts, defence or attack. Take the torch at the entrance.

Follow the bird statues

Light the bird-shaped statue beside the entrance and head the way it points. Light every statue you pass, because opening a chest or switching weapons puts your torch out. Wolves lurk deeper in: drop the torch to keep its flame while you fight, or relight it with flint and a metal weapon or a fire arrow.

Take the orb from the Hinox

In a more open area you will find a platform with an empty socket and, in the dark beyond, a Hinox with the orb on its necklace. Light the nearby statues first. Shoot its eye to stun it and hit it with heavy weapons, or sneak up and steal the orb while it sleeps. Mind its stomp.

Open the shrine

Set the orb on the platform. The shrine opens; inside, take the chest and speak to the monk.

Chests and rewards

  • Ancient Core: in the shrine chest.
  • Spirit Orb: from the monk Ketoh Wawai.
