Mezza Lo Shrine (Ancient Trifecta)

Mezza Lo is a shrine built around a rotating pillar that a laser must strike. Carry a metal block onto a floor button with Magnesis, then ride the pillar and use Stasis on the beam so it returns to hit the switch at the right time.

How to find it

The shrine does not appear on its own. Speak to Kass and complete the shrine quest The Crowned Beast, which leads to the Rabia Plain north-east of Kakariko Village, where the shrine rises.

Solution

Move the block

A switch sits on the slope near the entrance and turns the pillar by 90 degrees when struck. Do not hit it yet. Use Magnesis on the metal block just beyond it, which lets the laser reach the switch, and carry the block to the caged area on the far side of the room.

Weight the floor button

Set the block down on the floor button inside the cage and leave it there. This keeps the door to the monk unlocked.

Turn the pillar

Return to the switch and stand on the pillar nearest to you. Freeze the laser with Stasis. When it resumes it hits the switch and the pillar turns. A Remote Bomb detonated at the switch works too.

Take the chest

Walk to the platform the pillar has brought round and open the chest for a Thunderblade.

Reach the monk

Step back on the pillar, use Stasis on the laser once more and ride around to the caged room. With the block still on the button the door is open, so speak to Mezza Lo for the Spirit Orb.

Chests and rewards

  • Thunderblade: on the platform the pillar turns to face.
  • Spirit Orb: from the monk Mezza Lo.
