Nachoyah Shrine (The Ability to Rewind)

Nachoyah Shrine is a Recall trial: reverse rafts to cross the water and climb a waterfall, rewind a huge gear to reach the Arrow x10 chest, then rewind the clock hands so the gate stays open long enough to reach the altar.

How to find Nachoyah Shrine

Fast travel to the Room of Awakening at the south of Great Sky Island and turn to the left corner, where giant cogwheels with maze-patterned faces turn above the water. Use Recall on the first cogwheel to make it turn the right way, then ride it up and across; the second cogwheel already carries you toward an opening high in the wall.

Follow the dark tunnel on the upper level to the shrine; the Great Sky Island Refinery and its Steward Construct stand beside it. Touch the shrine stone and step onto the blue platform to enter.

Nachoyah Shrine solution

Reverse the first raft

Wait for a log raft to float toward the platform, hop on and use Recall on it. It runs back against the current and carries you across the channel.

Ride a raft up the waterfall

In the next room, rafts tumble down a waterfall. Stand on the raft after it lands and use Recall; it rewinds up the fall and puts you on the ledge above.

Rewind the giant gear

Use Recall on the large gear while standing on its stone blocks. It turns back up the wall and lifts you to the middle platform where the chest waits.

Cross the last channel

Use Recall on the floating slab to slide it across the water to the far bank.

Hold the gate open

Two clock hands swing above the barred gate; it opens only when they overlap. Wait for them to meet, then use Recall on a hand so they rewind together and keep the gate open while you run through to the altar.

Nachoyah Shrine chest

Arrow x10: the chest sits on the patterned floor of the middle platform at the top of the gear (step 3). Open it before you go on to the gate.

Light of Blessing

Climb the altar steps and touch the green seal to collect your Light of Blessing; this is the fourth from the island’s shrines. Nachoyah is a Sky shrine, so there is no Lightroot below it.

Tips

Recall only rewinds an object’s recent movement, so let a raft or gear finish a full movement first and you will get a longer ride.
Press the stop button to end a Recall early if you want to hop off partway.
If you fall off a cogwheel, return to the platform and try again.
