Susuyai Shrine (A Spinning Device)

Susuyai Shrine teaches Zonai wheels: ride a wheeled cart across the first room, open a gate with a crank, then fit a wheel to a rail platform to reach the altar. The only chest rides on one of the carts in the first room.

How to find Susuyai Shrine

From Lookout Landing head southwest across Hyrule Field to the broken walls and blocks of the Hyrule Garrison Ruins; the shrine is in the northwest part, east of the Ancient Tree Stump. If you start from Hyrule Field Skyview Tower, go straight north. Touch the shrine stone to register it, then walk through the green doorway between the two carved stone pillars.

Susuyai Shrine solution

Grab the cart with the chest

Wheeled carts run back and forth along the pale track in the first room; the chest sits on the middle one. Lift that cart off the track with Ultrahand (or stop it with Recall or a hit on a wheel), set it down on solid floor and open the chest for the arrows.

Cross the first room

Set a four-wheeled cart on the track pointing along it, with the arrows on the motors facing forward. Stand on it, hit a wheel with a weapon and ride across to the step on the far side.

Build a cart in the second room

Beside the second track lie a stone slab and two wheels. Attach one wheel to each side of the slab with Ultrahand, set it on the track, climb on and hit a wheel. You can also carry a cart across from the first room instead.

Open the gate with the crank

At the top of the steps, a four-armed crank stands beside a barred gate. Spin it, then use Recall on it so it keeps turning and the gate stays open long enough to walk through.

Fit a wheel to the rail platform

In the last room a post on a flat platform hangs from an overhead rail beside the chasm, and a spare wheel lies nearby. Carry the wheel to the top of the post and attach it so it rests on the rail. Step onto the platform and hit the wheel: it drives the platform along the rail to the altar side.

Susuyai Shrine chest

Arrow ×5: the chest is on the middle cart of the first room (step 1). Take the cart down from the track before you open it.

Light of Blessing

Climb the stairs and examine the green seal on the altar to receive the Light of Blessing.

Nearby

Directly below, in the Depths, is Iayusus Lightroot. Other shrines around Lookout Landing are Kyononis Shrine, Jiosin Shrine and Ishodag Shrine.

Tips

Arrows on a wheel’s motor show the direction it drives; point them forward before you ride.
Stand on a cart before you hit its wheels or it will drive off without you.
A sturdy weapon is best: hitting wheels wears down a weak one quickly.
