The Frost Talus is a Stone Talus encased in ice. Contact freezes you, so melt it with fire arrows (or wear the full Snowquill set with every piece upgraded twice) before you climb and break the ore.

- Laparoh Mesa: east of Kuh Takkar Shrine.
- West Sapphia’s Table: north of Gerudo Tower.
- West Rospro Pass: east of Flight Range, north-east of Sha Warvo Shrine.
- Coldsnap Hollow: south-south-west of Shada Naw Shrine in the Hebra Mountains.
- Pikida Stonegrove: south-east of Rok Uwog Shrine, west of North Tabantha Snowfield.
How to beat it
Thaw it
Shoot a fire arrow at it, or use a fire weapon. This melts its ice and stuns it for a few seconds. Alternatively, wear the full Snowquill set with every piece upgraded twice at a Great Fairy; its Unfreezable set bonus lets you climb without thawing it.
Knock it over
A Remote Bomb on an arm drops it so you can climb safely.
Break the ore
Strike the ore with a heavy rock-breaking weapon until the Talus collapses and leaves its gems.
Tips
- Touching its icy body can freeze you, so keep clear unless it is thawed or you have the Unfreezable bonus.
- Keep fire arrows ready; an arrow into the ore also stuns it for a few seconds.
