Once the lab is running, Purah upgrades your runes in exchange for ancient materials. Bring three Ancient Screws for the Sheikah Sensor, three Ancient Shafts for Remote Bomb and three Ancient Cores for Stasis. They can be done in any order.

Getting started
Talk to Purah
Speak to Purah at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. She explains the three upgrades and what she needs for each.
Collecting materials
Screws and Shafts
Search the wrecked Decayed Guardians lying around Hyrule, such as the pile west of Telta Lake, or defeat active Guardians. Both materials drop from them.
Cores
Ancient Cores come only from active Guardians that you defeat, such as Guardian Stalkers; ruins will not give you any. Fight from range with ancient arrows or bomb arrows.
Hand them in
Bring three of a material to Purah and she upgrades the matching rune. Repeat for the other two.
Chests and rewards
- Sheikah Sensor+, Remote Bomb+ and Stasis+ upgrades.
- Upgrading the sensor opens the quest Sunshroom Sensing.
