Who she is
Purah is a leading expert on Sheikah technology and Impa‘s older sister. An experiment with a youth-reversing device left her looking like a young girl, though she is well over a hundred years old and has all of her knowledge. She is energetic and eccentric. Her assistant Symin keeps the lab running beside her.
Where to find her
Purah’s lab stands on a large hill east of Hateno Village in the Hateno region. Leave the village and follow the road up the slope. The laboratory holds the terminal that restores the Slate and the Guidance Stone that handles rune upgrades.
Quests and rewards
Restoring the Sheikah Slate
When Link arrives, Purah sees that the Slate has lost features and sets about reviving them. This brings back the Camera Rune. Symin’s small side quest, Sunshroom Sensing, pays three Hearty Truffles.
Slated for Upgrades
Once the camera works, Purah asks you to bring her Ancient materials so she can improve your runes. The price is three Ancient Screws for Sheikah Sensor+, three Ancient Shafts for Remote Bomb+ and three Ancient Cores for Stasis+. You get Ancient parts by defeating Guardians.
- Sheikah Sensor+ lets the Sensor track a chosen item, creature or object that you have recorded in the Compendium.
- Remote Bomb+ improves your Remote Bombs.
- Stasis+ lets you freeze an enemy in time for a short period.
Robbie’s Research
Purah also sends you to her fellow researcher Robbie at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. Talk to her first, otherwise his lab will not be active when you arrive. Finishing Robbie’s job rewards you with three Ancient Arrows and brings his Ancient Oven back to life.
Shop and services
Purah sells nothing, but her upgrades are the only way to improve the Sheikah Slate runes.
