The Vah Ruta Divine Helm is an amiibo-only helmet that gives faster swimming. Guides list the Mipha amiibo as its only source: scanning it summons a chest, and the helm is one of the possible contents. Fully upgraded it reaches 28 defence and can stand in for the Ancient Helm in the Ancient Set bonus. It is the pick for rivers and lakes, and the Zora member of the four helms.
How to get it
Scan the amiibo
Activate the amiibo function in the game and hold the Mipha amiibo to the controller. A chest appears next to Link. The contents are picked at random, so the helm does not turn up on every scan.
Check the chest
Open the chest and look through what comes out. If the Vah Ruta Divine Helm is not among the items, scan the amiibo again; the chest also holds other random items, and the helm is the one that is exclusive to amiibo.

Great Fairy costs
Each star is bought at a Great Fairy Fountain, and you can only add as many stars as you have awakened fairies. Each fountain asks for a one-time fee in the order you wake them: 100 Rupees for the first, 500 for the second, 1,000 for the third and 10,000 for the fourth. Once a fairy is awake she upgrades any compatible piece for materials alone.
Set bonus
The helm is not part of a set on its own, but it can take the Ancient Helm’s place in the Ancient Set. Wear it with the Ancient Cuirass and Ancient Greaves, all three upgraded to at least two stars, to trigger Ancient Proficiency, which raises the damage of ancient and Guardian weapons. The helm carries its own Guardian Resist Up, so you keep that protection while gaining Swim Speed Up.
