Who he is
Kaneli is a wise old Rito who leads his people and keeps their history. He taught Teba the warrior’s craft. He knows what Vah Medoh once meant to the Rito, and he recognises Link as the Hylian Champion returned.
Where to find him
Rito Village is built on stone pillars in the middle of Lake Totori in the Tabantha region, reached by a bridge from the east. Kaneli is on the upper level of the village. Activate the Akh Va’quot Shrine (map position x -3656, z -1758, height 335, map square B-3) on arrival so you can return quickly.
Quests and rewards
Hear about Vah Medoh
Talk to Kaneli. He explains that Vah Medoh circles the village and shoots down anything that rises to its height, and that attempts to challenge it have failed.
Find Teba
He tells you that only one warrior, Teba, still wants to fight it. Teba’s house is next door, where his wife Saki tells you he has gone to the Flight Range. That formally starts the main quest Divine Beast Vah Medoh.
Kaneli gives no item and runs no shop.
