Vah Medoh circles the sky above Rito Village. You find Teba at the Flight Range, prove you can shoot while gliding, then break the four cannons guarding the beast with Bomb Arrows. Inside you tilt the wings to reach five terminals and finish with Windblight Ganon.
Meeting Teba
Leave the village
Kaneli sends you to Teba, who is not at home. His wife Saki says he went to the Flight Range at the foot of the Hebra Mountains and points you to Revali‘s Landing, which triggers a memory of Revali. Glide from the landing north and aim for the pillar before continuing. Dress for the cold, as warm food or a doublet alone will not be enough.

The trek
Mounted Black Bokoblins and camouflaged Ice-breath Lizalfos guard the way. Pass Sha Warvo Shrine and climb to the Flight Range at map position x -3852, z -2289, height 363 (map square B-2).

Teba’s test
Teba asks you to hit 5 targets with arrows in 3 minutes using the updrafts. There are more targets than you need and your stamina refills on each hit. A bow lies in the building if you need one. When you pass he gives you the Falcon Bow and 20 Bomb Arrows.

Assaulting the beast
Break the cannons
Four cannons sit at the ends of Vah Medoh‘s shield. They lock on like Guardian beams. Wait until the last moment to free-fall under the beam, open the paraglider to regain stamina, and fire. Each cannon needs two Bomb Arrows. Circle the beast and stay near its edge so other cannons cannot target you. Afterward Teba leaves and you enter alone.

Inside Divine Beast Vah Medoh
Map first
At the tail, shoot the eye on the side of the Malice gate and open the chest for a Sapphire. Inside, clear Malice with the eye on the right. In the large hall, use Magnesis on the metal slab and Stasis on the stone slab so they line up beside a ladder to a chest with an Ancient Core. Cross to the Guardian Scout at the Guidance Stone and defeat it for the map and the ability to tilt the beast.

Five terminals are in the wings, two on one side and three on the other. Before going in, kill the eye in the pool of Malice below the slab for chests holding 5 Bomb Arrows and an Ancient Shaft.

Right wing
Tilt right to slide the middle slab to the right wing. Hit the orange switch to start a fan that opens the left gate, tilt left and hold the second windmill still with Magnesis to open the other gate so the stone can slam into the receptacle and open the first terminal. A chest on a high platform holds a Knight’s Bow and a chest behind the Malice and a skull maw holds Ice Arrows.

Second and third terminals
Keep the beast tilted left, glide into the middle room, shoot the eye at the Malice gate and open the far chest for a Knight’s Claymore. Clear the maw and eye below, tilt back right and glide to the second terminal. For the third, drop a Remote Bomb through the window while the beast is tilted, use the switch’s gust to carry it to the corner, then guide the metal boulder into the receptacle to open the terminal gate.

Left wing
Level the beast and clear the Malice on the bottom floor, then tilt left and glide to the fourth terminal. For the last, use the carousel on the rail under the wing: tilt to board it, then tilt toward the tip, pausing halfway to shoot the eye above the Malice gate before it slams the wall. Climb the stairs for the fifth terminal.

Main control unit
Level the beast, go to the lower balcony and ride the turbines to the roof. Tilt the beast from one wing and glide down toward the nose for a chest with a Giant Ancient Core. Then activate the control unit in the center.

Boss: Windblight Ganon
Phase one
He floats around with a cannon arm. He fires rapid shots and makes tornadoes, so keep moving. Use the turbines to rise and shoot his face for critical damage. When he stays low, get under his shots, as they have a minimum range, and attack in melee.

Phase two
At half health he creates small floating turrets, ricochets shots off them and makes larger tornadoes. Use updrafts to get high, slow time and shoot the turrets. The fewer remain, the more he must stay on the ground. A shot to the eye stops his Guardian laser.
