Solution

Oman Au Shrine

The Old Man points this one out first, just north of the tower across a broken bridge and a small pond. Take the Magnesis rune from the pedestal beside the gate, lift the metal floor plates to open the way, and use the metal block to push the stone wall aside. A Guardian Scout waits on the far side, so hide behind the block and knock it into the water or fight it. Pull the large metal door toward you to finish. A metal chest on a high platform can be pulled down with Magnesis; it holds a bow.

Ja Baij Shrine

This shrine sits in the Eastern Abbey ruins, south of the tower. A damaged Guardian Scout in front cannot move but fires a strong laser, so sneak past it or bait it into blasting the walls open. Take the Remote Bomb rune, blow open the cracked wall at the end of the slope, and detonate a bomb in the right-hand alcove for a chest holding a sword. Further in, a cube bomb dropped at the end of the moving platform breaks the cracked wall beyond it, and a sphere bomb placed in the funnel is shot across the pit to reveal the last ladder. A chest holding a bow sits on the far block that launches you across.

Owa Daim Shrine

It lies on a high ledge on the south-east side of Mount Hylia. Climb the slopes behind the Temple of Time (bring cold resistance such as Spicy Peppers or warm clothing), or climb from the south farm after chopping a tree across the ravine. Take the Stasis rune, freeze the large rotating gear while its arm is straight and run across, then freeze each boulder that rolls down the ramp to climb past it. Hit the stationary boulder to the left with the Iron Sledgehammer while it is held in stasis to launch it away and clear the path to Owa Daim.

Keh Namut Shrine

The final shrine is high on Mount Hylia, south of where the Hylia River falls from the plateau. Cold is the problem on the way, so carry Spicy Peppers or wear warm clothing, and the Old Man gives you a Warm Doublet near the summit. Take the Cryonis rune, raise an ice block in the pool to reach the ledge, push an ice pillar under the gate to lift it and defeat the Guardian Scout beyond, using ice blocks for cover. Ice pillars under either side of the raised platform get you to the monk. A chest tucked in an alcove to the right of the stairs is reached with an ice platform.

Return to the Old Man

After the fourth Spirit Orb, the Old Man asks you to meet him where the four shrines cross on the map, at the Temple of Time. Pray at the glowing statue to trade four Spirit Orbs for either a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel. Climb the ladder on the side of the ruined temple to reach the Old Man on the roof. He explains what happened a hundred years ago and hands over the Paraglider. The main quests Defeat Ganon and Seek Out Impa then appear in your log.

Tips

  • You must leave the plateau by paraglider, so do the Great Plateau‘s chests and Korok seeds before jumping.
  • Four Spirit Orbs buy one upgrade; with exactly four you can pick either hearts or stamina.
