Glide off the Great Plateau, take the road east past the ruins and over Proxim Bridge toward the Dueling Peaks, cross at the Dueling Peaks Stable and follow the road north to Kakariko Village. Impa’s house is at the far side of the village, near Lantern Falls.

How to find it

Leaving the plateau, glide wherever you like; the destination is a long walk anyway. Landing near Oman Au Shrine puts you close to a herd of horses, and Outskirt Stable to the west lets you register a mount. The Great Plateau Tower is already unlocked, so you can travel back there if you want to start over.

Solution

Cross to the Dueling Peaks

Follow the road east past the Outpost and East Post ruins, where Bokoblins and a Moblin ambush travellers. Bosh Kala Shrine is to the right before the bridge. Cross Proxim Bridge, where Brigo warns you about the Guardians around Hyrule Castle and points you toward Kakariko.

Pass under the peaks

The road follows the river beneath the Dueling Peaks. Dueling Peaks Tower stands in the water and gives your slate its shrine sensor once activated. Watch for Lizalfos swimming in the river and for Octoroks along the shore. Ree Dahee Shrine sits on a ridge below the peaks, and the Big Twin Bridge leads to Dueling Peaks Stable, where Ha Dahamar Shrine is just across the road.

Take the road north

The road north to Kakariko is calm. Hestu the Korok sits beside it. Taming a horse at a stable makes the trip much faster; sneak up on one or glide on to its back, and soothe it before the stamina wheel empties.

Enter Kakariko Village

Nanna at the entrance notices your slate and urges you to see Impa. Walk to the far side of the village, past two guards who relent when they see the slate, and talk to Impa at her house by Lantern Falls.

Hear Impa’s story

Impa tells you the history of the Calamity and your task. Speak with her again to hear the words left for you; she names the Divine Beasts and says your slate is missing parts that Hateno Village can restore. This completes Seek Out Impa and starts Free the Divine Beasts and Locked Mementos.

Tips

  • Kakariko has shops, side quests and a Goddess Statue where you can exchange Spirit Orbs.
  • A Great Fairy lives in the hills north of the village, close to Ta’loh Naeg Shrine.
