Ganon

Ganon is the malice that destroyed Hyrule a hundred years ago and has been held inside Hyrule Castle ever since. You meet it in stages: a Blight Ganon in each Divine Beast, then Calamity Ganon in the castle, then the enormous Dark Beast Ganon on the open field.

Who Ganon is

Calamity Ganon is a recurring evil that returned during the Great Calamity and took control of the Guardians and the four Divine Beasts, which the Champions had been meant to pilot against it. Princess Zelda has contained its power inside the castle since then, and its influence is why monsters across Hyrule are restored after every Blood Moon.

How the story fight goes

Free the Divine Beasts

Each Divine Beast ends with its Blight Ganon, which holds the Champion’s spirit captive. Defeating it frees that Champion’s power and loosens Ganon’s grip on the machine.

Calamity Ganon

Enter Hyrule Castle and work your way to the sanctum at its heart. Calamity Ganon is a huge spider-like form with a large health pool. If you skipped any Divine Beast, its Blight Ganon waits in the sanctum first. Bring plenty of food and arrows.

Dark Beast Ganon

When Calamity Ganon falls it reforms as Dark Beast Ganon and charges across the field. Zelda supplies the Bow of Light, and its arrows are what bring the beast down.

Tips

  • Stock up on arrows and healing food before entering the castle sanctum.
  • The Champions’ abilities from the freed Divine Beasts are available during the final fights.
