The Adventure of Link: Link Dolls (1UP)

The Adventure of Link can be unforgiving, and losing all your lives sends you back to the North Castle, potentially losing significant progress. Finding hidden Link Dolls grants you a valuable 1-Up, adding to your stock of lives and giving you more chances to overcome Hyrule’s challenges. These dolls are often hidden on specific, seemingly ordinary tiles on the overworld map. Unlike Heart Containers, collected Link Dolls reappear after you get a Game Over and continue your quest, so you can revisit these spots if needed.

Here are the locations for several known Link Dolls:

North Saria Swamp:

Location: Directly north of Saria Town (the starting town in the North Castle region).

How to Find: Step onto the single, isolated swamp tile located just north of the town. This specific tile hides a Link Doll.

Near King’s Tomb Peninsula:

Location: West of the River Town of Saria, head towards the graveyard area containing the King’s Tomb. You’ll see a bridge leading onto the peninsula where the tomb resides.

How to Find: Before stepping onto the bridge tile itself, explore the small piece of land immediately adjacent to the bridge’s entrance (on the mainland side). Step onto the specific plains/grass tile here to find a Link Doll.

Mainland Side of Maze Island Bridge:

Location: In the southeastern region of Hyrule, find the very long bridge that leads east towards Maze Island (where the Palace on the Sea, Palace 5, is located).

How to Find: Stay on the mainland side of this bridge. Step onto the single plains/grass tile situated directly south of the westernmost tile (the start) of the bridge. A Link Doll awaits here.

Northwest Kasuto Swamp (Requires Flute):

Location: This is in the desolate eastern region of Hyrule, near the Hidden Town of Kasuto. After you have used the Flute to reveal Hidden Kasuto, explore the large swamp area located immediately west of the now-visible town.

How to Find: Go to the northwest part of this specific swamp patch. The Link Doll is hidden on the single swamp tile that marks the absolute northwest corner of this swamp area.
