| Objective | Hateno Village (x 3593, z 2122, map square I-7) |
| Reward | Camera, Album and Hyrule Compendium on the Sheikah Slate; unlocks Captured Memories and Find the Fairy Fountain |
Purah, the director of the Ancient Tech Lab above Hateno Village, will repair your slate if you carry a blue flame from the Ancient Furnace in the village up to the lab’s furnace. Then return to Impa in Kakariko.
How to find it
From Kakariko, return south across the bridge and take the western road before Dueling Peaks Stable, toward Necluda. You pass the old battlefield in front of Fort Hateno (map square H-6), strewn with dead Guardians, and then climb into Hateno. Bokoblins ambush along the way, and a traveler on the hills may be a Yiga assassin.
Solution
Ride to Hateno Village
The road passes the Guardians at Fort Hateno. You can scavenge parts there. Calip, in the cabin beyond the fort, offers the shrine quest that reveals Kam Urog Shrine. Hateno Tower (map square H-7) stands on the road just west of the village and is worth climbing for the map.

Meet Purah
The laboratory is on the hill past the town. A girl inside directs you to another person, but she is Purah, the lab’s director. She remembers you and agrees to repair the slate if you fetch fire from an ancient furnace in the village.

Light the blue flame
Return to the village and find the blue Sheikah furnace on a small hill on the north side. Light a torch from it (the lab has a spare torch near the door), keep the torch lit and walk it up the hill.

Return to the lab
Light the receptacle to the left of the lab entrance. The lab becomes a fast travel point, and Purah restores the slate, giving you the Camera, the Album and the Hyrule Compendium.

Report to Impa
Photograph Purah to start the album. She mentions pictures taken by Princess Zelda, and you must show Impa in Kakariko Village to continue. Talk to her to finish the quest and begin Captured Memories.

Tips
- The torch burns out if you run in rain or fall in water, so keep it dry.
- Myahm Agana Shrine and a Goddess Statue are in Hateno Village.
